Elwyn is the best person in the entire world. He's charming, witty, amazing, perfect, hilarious, and did modest get mentioned? If not, modest too, yeah. Of course, his definition of the entire world extends about three feet around him, so there's that too. In all actuality, he is a fun guy to be around. It's hard to get bored when Elwyn Summer's is present because he will always find something to do. Always. He also has the terrible (or wonderful) ability to make anything sound perverted, so be prepared for that too.
It is a good idea to remember that he is, despite how warm and friendly he is, a magnificent liar and thief. Those two make for a dangerous thing. He claims to be retired from that life, but old habits die hard and who knows if he really is. Those skills do come in handy sometimes still. Luckily he's focused on new things, like fixing up places and driving people mad with lust, because everyone wants him. Really, they do. They just might not know it yet. Give them time and they'll realize the error of their ways and want some Elwyn too. (Yeah, he's a bit of a slut along with everything else. Not a surprise there, huh?) At least he's good in the kitchen and can fix things when they break. That's got to count for something! ...yeah, sure it does. In his own little world.

Growing up isn't easy for most people. For Elwyn, it was a breeze in his mind because he didn't have parents, or rules, or any of that. He was orphaned and ended up living on the streets. He had a box that he called his castle, therefore making him the king, and everything was all good. Sure, the lack of food and clean water sucked, and there were some creepy people in the slums of Heim, but he was creepy too with as dirty as he was, so it all worked out in the end.
Around the age of nine, a rich merchant took him in and taught him things that a nine-year-old child should never know. He participated in a number of events and parties with the man, but he took it all in stride. There was a roof over his head, clothes on his body, and food on the table - what could get better than that? Regardless of how grateful he was towards the merchant, he didn't hesitate to put a knife in his back and rob him blind once he turned sixteen. After that, Heim was a distant memory.
Elwyn has traveled outside of Adonea. He wanted to see the world and all that was offered, and became attached to boats. A year here, a year there... as long as he had gold in his pocket, he got by. The day came when he mixed with the wrong crowd (which says something because he is the wrong crowd). He doesn't remember much beyond a lot of pain and screaming, and he can't remember if the screaming was someone else of himself. Waking up in Ilusia probably was the best thing that could happen to him. Might be time for a change in his life.
