Seth is a no-nonsense type of man. If somebody asked him if the glass was half-empty or half-full, he would chose the former over the ladder. He's seen his fair share of the worst in the world preventing him from possessing an over-abundance of optimism. While not necessarily unapproachable, he's not the easiest person to have a casual conversation with. Typically taciturn when speaking along with a brusque speech pattern leaves him to stay straight to the point. It's usually easier for him (and generally most people) for them to just say what they want, get it done, then leave. As the bodyguard to the faerie princesses, he prioritizes his job above almost everything. A man who values honor, prefers to confront his opposition (if any) straight on. Seth believes that actions speak louder than words, thus refrains for saying any more or any less than he feels necessary.
However his seemingly icy exterior is not an eternal frost. He wants nothing more than to keep the princesses safe and happy to the best of his ability. He is an honest man. Those he considers close to him will notice the ice melt away, and in it's place an earnest sincerity in his speech and actions. Loyalty and trust is something he doesn't easily give away, but again, it really takes some time. A little secret? He'll take this forever to his grave, but he's a total sucker for cute things. Seth was born to loyal servants, who were treated more like best friends of the Royal Faerie Family in the lush evergreens of Avalon. When he was up walking and talking, he accepted his place helping out his parents, doing chores when he needed to. Orders were expected to be followed, and upon being heed there was praise of his hard work. He was around five years old when the faerie princesses - twin girls - were born. The girls as they grew up would need someone to watch over them. Of good faith of the friendship between the King and Queen and Seth's parents, he was assigned to care for, and protect the girls. He started out as the royal children's personal servant (also known as the doormat). It was pretty easy work when he was watching over a couple of toddlers when the royal nurses were busy with their chores.
That all changed rather quickly when they've learned to conjure up mischief whenever they so pleased. Seth had become a personal favorite target of practical jokes or pranks pulled by the princesses. Of course, he's attempted to scold them and get them to act right but in the end they would go right back to their same old tricks. All playing around aside, he knew they were both very sweet girls. The youngest in particular. As he begun to reached his adolescent years, he was pulled out of the role of servant boy and began taking up training. He was taught the ins and outs of various weaponry then began training to get a feel. This was all because he was being moved up in ranks and as such, was promoted up to the Royal Bodyguard of the Princesses. To him, the girls were exceptionally special to him and he devoted his time and energy to become an efficient fighter among the faeries.
By the time he reached twenty-two, he was officially the Bodyguard of the Faerie princesses, and given his first top priority orders. He was to depart from Avalon taking the girls with him to the Faerie-Elvin settlement in Meridell in Illusia. He didn't understand the command entirely, but loyal to a fault and seeing the dire urgency in the King and Queen's expressions was all the reasons he needed. Their trip from Avalon to Meridell was anything but a safe trip. Before they crossed the borders into Illusia from the thick forest of their green home, the group was ambushed by a small group of bandits. By some struck of luck, they managed to escape the unexpected attack but at a hefty cost. During the struggle, Seth threw himself in the line of fire of a flying arrow that would've hit one of the girls. He sacrificed his eye in the process to escape. Nowadays, he wears an eye-patch over the scar of his missing eye. Up to present time, he continues watching over the princesses in hiding, under the pretense of being simple immigrants from another country.
