Sky blue eyes glided across the page absorbing as much information as the owner of these tools of sight leisurely read through an entire page. His hand gently slipped across the lightly yellowed paper to turn to the next content of text to continue where he left off. Every now and then the male feline beastman would feel his furry ears twitch a couple of times. His acute sense of hearing picking up any particular signs of disturbance in the vicinity. So far, everything was pretty peaceful. He could drop a pin on the table and hear it crystal clear of how quiet it was today. That was a good sign. The start of the day was the usual morning line up. Check the books to ensure they're organized then alphabetized in the proper shelves. Scrolls of any variety where skimmed through then placed in proper bins to prevent natural erosion from getting to it than it already has. After all that was taken cared of then came the chores he didn't care much for. He dusted the shelves off, opening the windows, sweeping any dirt that got into the library and aired out minor damaged books to try to salvage what he could. While it seemed pretty mundane to the average joe, Julian found it relaxing to have everything in place. Plus, it left a good impression to visitors who came to browse through books. His vision started to blur though now that he's finished, and began reading a book he got engrossed in. The cat boy started nodding off slowly until eventually his body caved in to sleep. Little was he aware of it, or the reason behind it was lack of eating once again. His face was buried in his arms as he rested against the table he was passing the time reading. Unaware of his surroundings or who or what may come right through the doors of the Rune Archives... TAGS: Sey Sey, Cassie NOTES: This is going to end very bad (for Julian). >.>

❀ Seyka, Julian~ Pfft, he loves the attention! | Things were not all that exciting in Meridell. Cassandra found the Elven and Faerie town quite beautiful, and she liked the fact that the surroundings reminded her of home. It lacked the familiar people and sights she had grown accustomed to, though. There was only so many times one could explore the vicinity of the Whispering Woods before many of the pathways became familiar enough for her to traverse through by herself. Dancing and singing certainly were enough to amuse herself with for awhile, but she had no tutors to set new challenges for herself. Perhaps it was a good thing that her parents had sent her and her sister here, though. As much as she could dislike her station at times, this would teach her how to care for herself for a little while.
Her destination was the library to peruse the selection of books. It would be a good way to keep her mind occupied and perhaps learn more about Illusia. Being in a new country was a novelty for her, since she had always lived within the safety of Avalon’s borders. Cassandra tucked a stray, blond strand behind her ear as she entered the building. Blue eyes flickered over her surroundings, and she regarded the amount of books with a widening smile. No doubt there would be enough books here to keep her occupied for many months to come. A good thing she also enjoyed spending much of her time reading. What she had not expected to see was a boy passed out on a table he had been reading at.
Cassanda was even more interested when she noticed the soft appendages on his head that resembled cat ears. It piqued her curiosity quite a lot, since she had rarely run into a Beastman in Avalon. It would be so terribly rude of her to even attempt what she was thinking about. A shame that her mischievous side was leading her forward to the sleeping male. She leaned over him quietly as she studied him with a pensive expression. Would it be such a crime if she were to run her fingers along his ears? Before she could even stop herself, her hand was already inching forward to gently scratch behind his ear. |

| Seyka liked to keep herself occupied with many different things. She didn’t like staying consistent with one thing over, and over again. Hence why everyday she tried to encourage herself to coming out of her comfort zone to do things she hasn’t done before. The little greenette was an active child loving to play more than try things that required too many responsibilities. Was that childish? Perhaps, but who wanted to do all work and no play? That makes billy old and gray in a day or two! Or maybe even three. What was she focusing on again? Butterflies!! No wait, that wasn't it. Oh yeah! There were butterflies fluttering across her line of vision. They were really pretty~
Yeah, the poor girl was exceptionally bored today. That was why she was out and about frolicking through Meridell. For instance, she heard that there was a new librarian who took over the Rune Archives. Despite her terribly short attention span, Seyka did enjoy good stories so maybe she might pick up some recommendations. That is, if she gets the chance to meet this new person. It didn’t take her long to settle her decision before heading straight for the library’s destination. Probably would do her some good to settle down before she went nuts with boredom. When all else fails, then knowledge was the way to go! ... Right? At least, that was what she thought.
“Huh?” she blinked. She stared at the open door of the building blankly. The Rune Archives was open for the public but was somebody already visiting? Well, she quietly slipped herself in through the door trying to avoid causing it to creek audibly. Was anybody really there?
Only one way to find out!
Sey Sey treaded through the collection of books gingerly. Everything looked pretty tidy and in order as far as she could tell. It didn’t take her long though to spot an interesting site to behold. Two people. One was a girl and the other a boy. The boy was laying on the table with his head in his arms sleeping. The girl was leaned forward and… scratching his ears? She quickly formed a quizzical expression. Were those cat ears? That was a beastman! She’s never seen one before! This was absolutely amazing~
Kitty ears, and a tail. So cute. Too cute for her own good. She had to resist the urge to squeal from how precious the site was. She looked over to the blonde haired girl flashing a cooing smile. Sey Sey wanted a turn to pet the kitty boy! While Cassie was scratching behind one ear, Seyka took over with the other. She gently ran her fingertip against his fur. It was so soft too~! She wanted to cuddle with him. But that would be all kinds of awkward. For the time being she was content with scratching Julian’s kitty cat ears!

It started out with one of his ears being gently scratched. One of the downfalls of passing out from lack of energy was the fact that it took a bit to wake back up. When he got comfortable it took some effort to get back up again. Mmmm. What was happening? Something suddenly started to feel really good. This had to be the best sleep he’s gotten in quite a while. Every time he fell asleep, especially on a table such as this upon waking up, his whole frame would be sore as hell afterwards. This time it was different. His feline ears twitched slightly as they were being scratched. Now if only the scratching could take place a little lower down the ear that would be nice. And it apparently only got better. Not one ears but his other ears suddenly was being scratched as well. The cat boy couldn’t resist it now. His animal instincts kicked him. A gentle, low-tuned purring sound escaped the back of his throat. Julian was in heaven for the time being. He had to resist the urge to start nuzzling the hands that were messing with his ears. … Wait, somebody was messing with his ears. Someone was messing with his ears. An internal alarm clock quickly brought his wandering consciousness out of dreamland. Groggy blue eyes opened up lazily. His vision was blurred slightly. All he could see from where his head was laying down was two heads leaning in front of him. A patch of yellow, and the other a soft shade of green. What the heck?! When the hell did people come into the library? Well, he was not pleased as his vision finally cleared up and saw two girls playing with his ears. His brows furrowed down slowly as he gave them a deadpan stare. “Are we having fun?” he asked flatly. TAGS: Sey Sey, Cassie NOTES: You guys are not doing it right. >:[

❀ Seyka, Julian~ Now she is. >3> | Cassandra glanced over her shoulder when she heard footsteps enter the library. A young maiden had stopped to watch her as she scratched the librarian’s ears. Her free hands was raised in a shushing gesture as she suppressed a grin and a giggle. How adorable this blond youth was as he slept completely unaware of their presence. How would he react when he awoke to his ears being handled? Cassandra could not say that she would be all that apologetic, since he was quite adorable to view. Amusement sparked in her eyes as the other female moved to take over his unattended ear. Oh, yes, they were going to receive quite the reaction when he woke up. Perhaps he would find the attention enjoyable? There was only one way to find out.
Her entire formed shook with restrained laughter the moment she heard the sleeping male began to purr. Cassandra found the entire situation very humorous, and she had to bite her lip to hold herself back. It looked like he took after a feline very much, since he was quite content with having his ears scratched. The other girl was having quite a fun time in mimicking her actions, since she was smiling quite brightly. Who knew a beastman could be this adorable? It was very hard to resist the urge to coo over the sleeping male. Or was he beginning to rouse from his slumber? Cassandra did not halt her actions as his eyelids fluttered open slowly.
Bleary eyes were soon looking up at her and her green haired counterpart. It was like he could not quite believe what was happening around him. A giggle finally did escape her when he gave them a deadpan expression. Was it such a bad thing to have his ears scratched? He had been enjoying it quite a bit while he was sleeping. “Yes, I am having quite a wonderful time,” she answered honestly. There was no hint of embarrassment in her expression on being caught. Actually, Cassandra continued to scratch his ear as she moved her hand a little lower to the base of his ears. |

| He was purring. Oh goodness, she had to bite down on her bottom lip over how precious that was. It was official! Seyka had fallen in love with the librarian. He was simply too cute for words. Perhaps that was a little bit of an over exaggeration, but she used what will-powered remained to keep herself from losing it. She just wanted to wrap her arms around him, and cuddle him close. Oh yeah, and continue to pet his ears since he seemed to enjoy it very much.
It would seem that the young woman who started the instigation felt the same sentiments as well. She couldn’t help but beam when Cassandra gestured for the greenette to stay quiet as they scratched behind the blonde kitty boy’s ears. Unfortunately, all good things had to come to an end. Not long after they played with Julian’s ears did the beastman finally began to stir. Seyka flashed a bubbly smile as she stared at the sleepy head rise up from his slumber.
“Wakey, wakey~” she cooed, “You seemed like you were enjoying yourself just a second ago as well~” She looked over to the blonde she-fae totally giving her a look that the greenette was going to follow her lead. “So why stop here? Come on now, don’t be shy. It’s really cute when you purr like that, kitty-boy.” She lowered her hand down to scratch behind the border of fur and ear.

… Kitty boy? Did she seriously just call him a kitty? He’s heard from pretty terrible insults in his life, but nothing got under his skin than being referred to as a cat. A simple, docile cat that remained inside as common pets. He was anything but a common house cat! Couldn’t she tell the difference between a lion and a regular cat? Apparently not. That would quickly be fixed, but first and foremost, he had to get the girls off of his ears! Alas, Julian was rendered useless for a moment longer when Cassandra scratched behind his ears once more. Damn it, Seyka followed right behind the blonde faerie. A low growl rumbled from the back of his throat. “CUT THAT OUT!” he finally blew up. He shoved the chair back to back way from the girls. What he didn't realize was that the legs stumbled on the wooden floor. Before he could process what had happened, the blonde feline beastman was already on the floor with stray papers gliding to the floor from which he was writing down notes. “Ow, ow...” he hissed. One arm lifted up to rub the back of his head. For a second, he could've sworn he saw stars floating around his head. What in blazes was these faeries problem? He scrambled up to regain his posture and what was left of his dignity. “For future references, I am not a simple cat as you so endearingly refer me as.” Blue eyes glared at the no good sprites one more. “So I would appreciate if you'd refrain from treating me as such.” There were dust smudges on his glasses now. Great. He pulled off his spectacles to begin cleaning them up. Now that his nerves were calming down, he could get to the better topic of discussion. “Just who are you girls, and what are you doing here in the library?”TAGS: Sey Sey, Cassie NOTES: Tsun-Tsun lion is not pleased. -3-

❀ Seyka, Julian~ Tsuntsun so kawaii~ <33 | Cassandra knew that this situation would not end well. Sadly, she did not feel that much regret for scratching the adorable male behind the ear. Her teeth sank into her bottom lip to keep herself from breaking into a fit of giggles. The greenette’s form of greeting was no doubt going to irritate the male. She did have a point, though! His purring had been quite endearing. Cassandra wished that he would allow himself to do so again. It was surprising for her to actually find a beastman in a faerie and elven dwelling. She had not expected one of the shorter lived races to make a home here. That was certainly not a problem to her, and it was exciting to be able to meet more of the races she was not too accustomed towards. Even on as irate as this librarian.
Her eyes widened just a little at his sudden outburst. Cassandra retracted her hand when she suddenly pushed his chair from beneath the table to escape the ministrations. It was very hard not to giggle just a little when his chair tipped over and he went along with it. Her concern became more apparent when he let out a hiss of pain when his head hit the floor. Now that had not been her intention when she started to scratch his ears. She leaned down to pick up the scattered papers and notes to place them neatly back on the table. No doubt he would not rather be touched by either one of them again for the time being. Cassandra did believe he could use just a little excitement, if he spent all of his time here.
“I believe even the fiercest of felines enjoy having their ears scratched. You did not disagree until you regained consciousness. It is said that our true desires are often shown through subconscious reactions,” she replied rather easily. One day she was sure her sharp tongue would lead her into a situation that she could not talk herself out of. Until then, she was quite content with witty banter as her amusement. “My name is Cassandra Amell, and I was here for a book. Is that not what a library is for?” |

| Her oceanic blue eyes flickered brightly as a gasp escaped her lips. Just as she anticipated the adorable beastman exploded from both the pretty blonde haired faerie and her antics. They didn’t really intend any spiteful wishes upon the poor blonde kitty cat. It was all just innocent playing after all~ Seyka considered it something along the lines of a warm welcoming to new people who come to inhabit their small town of Meridell. What she didn’t expect was that the kitty boy to suddenly fall from his chair, and scatter papers onto the floor. Now, the jokes had to be put on pause. His well-being is far more important.
The little greenette quickly rushed to his aid to pick up any stray papers that Cassandra missed by any chance. When all of them were collected, she placed them on the pile on the table. Then she went over to make sure the boy was well too. “I’m sorry about that mister kitty cat,” she apologized with a soft smile. “Didn’t intend on causing you to fall like that.” Though from the looks of it, he appeared to be in tact. That was a relief. She didn't mind getting a scolding so long as he was ok. She had to resist smiling again.
“And you may call me Seyka. Seyka Rozengale, but Sey or Sey Sey is fine too~” She introduced herself. “I came to learn of who the new librarian is. I didn’t expect him to be a cute beastman. Or a potential new friend along the way.” She looked back over to Cassandra flashing a bright smile.

He knew that young faeries could be a little more on the mischievous side but this was more than he could handle! His feline ears twitched a couple of times as they pointed up in annoyance to their antics. He shot a sharp look over to Cassandra making a witty remark about how he enjoyed being scratched behind the ear. It was rather rude to touch a stranger while they were unaware of their presence! Not to mention the invasion of personal space. This was not how he intended to start spending his days in Meridell. He sucked in a breath of air exasperatedly before pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Time to get the point of this encounter. “Would you stop calling me kitty?” he scowled back at the green-haired girl, “I have a name. It’s Julian Leventis, so cut the cat shenanigans already.” He pulled out a writing utensil out of his pocket before looking over on the table. His leather bound journal was in his reach. Claiming that into his paws, he wrote down the names of the two girls, and little tidbits to remember them by. References to remember in case he had to run into them, which he hoped wouldn’t be the case in the future. “Now that we’ve got that out of the way…” He fixed his fallen chair before looking back over to Cassandra. “Do you have any preference in genre, or perhaps a particular author in mind? Mind you, I am new so I don’t know everything by heart, but I shall do my best to help you anyway I can.” The process of helping her find a book shouldn’t take too long. Hopefully, he could offer them some choices, they pick one to check out then leave. Then his library would have some remote peace. TAGS: Sey Sey, Cassie NOTES: NOT CUTE! ❀ Seyka, Julian~ YES KAWAII! | Cassandra merely quirked her brow as the male gave her a sharp look. As if that was going to be enough to cause her to become abashed over her actions. She did regret that he had fallen out of his chair like that, but his reaction had been so adorable. Now she was tempted to beg Seth to allow her to boy a cat of some sort to keep her company. Her expression was rather innocent as if she had done nothing wrong at all, which was sure to annoy him even more. The young woman would never have thought of acting such a way if she were back in Avalon. Without the constant eyes of the courtiers on her, she found her guard slipping away from her as time eased past. It was something she would have to be careful of in the future.
Her hand raised to cover her snickers as the greenette once again called him ‘kitty.’ Cassandra had not addressed him as such at the very least. Now she had a name to place upon the cat boy~! Julian was a rather attractive youth that seemed to be around their age. Well, he appeared to physically resemble them. She did not know how old this Seyka Rozengale was. Blue eyes flickered towards the librarian as she gave him her most practice, charming smile. “A pleasure to meet you both,” she replied with a small curtsy. Courtly manners were hard to throw off when they had become such a habit for the entirety of her life.
“Anything of the fantasy genre would interest me.” Particularly fairytales that had a darker spin to them. Cassandra did not mention that out loud, since she hardly revealed any of her likes or dislikes to two virtual strangers. Her gaze fell upon Seyka and the rather bright smile she was wearing. The greenette was rather cute and had a personality to match. She wondered if all of the faerie maidens in Meridell were that pretty. A faint blush dusted her cheeks before she quickly averted her gaze back to Julian. |

| Goodness, he was simply too cute~ Though she will be nice now so she didn’t end up getting kicked out of the library. Now she had a nickname to call him whenever she needed to garner his attention. May not be the best way to obtain it, but the beastman could use a little bit of innocent teasing. She had to use what will power she had left in her to keep from giggling as Julian glared at Cassandra for making a witty comment. It was true though~ He was most honest in his sleep when they were scratching his ear ever so generously. Of course, it was because they wanted to feel how fuzzy, and soft his ears were but still, the blonde kitty cat boy appeared to enjoy it. He was just being a little shy now that he’s wide awake.
“Likewise. A pleasure to meet both of you guys as well~” she chirped in happily. The names of the two new companions rolled off her tongue rather nicely. Julian Leventis, and Cassandra Amell~ She would do well to remember them because she was sure this would not be the last time the greenette was going to be seeing them. Especially if Julian was this much fun to tease and play around with.
“OooOooh~ Fantasy adventure!” she exclaimed, “I love hearing tales of far-off places, daring sword-fights, exotic creatures and monsters. Or even princes in disguises~” Her oceanic blue eyes sparkled as she imagined all of the epic adventures she’s heard before in her life time. Might as well stick around to see if she could find a book that she liked as well. “We have similar tastes in stories it seems, Cassandra.” Along with other things as well, such as messing around with the new Rune Archives librarian.

Anything within the fantasy genre. The element of tossing the reader into a realm that wasn’t the norm. Where the feeling of magic, fear of the unknown and many other extraordinary things take place in the settings. How childish, but he silently nodded his head. Blue eyes veiled by glasses looked off to one of the many shelves in the rune archives. He raised his hand casually signaling them to follow him so he could lead them out to the section of fairytales, and fantasy related adventures. He found it rather hard to believe that these girls just got acquainted with one another. With the way they played around with him, one would’ve thought they’d been best friends for many years. He brushed that irrelevant thought out of his contemplation to focus on his books. Science fiction, history, auto-biographies (there were many...) and many more flooded shelves. “This shelf along with the one right behind it holds all of the fantasy related books. Take your time and browse through the selections,” he offered. While he was nearby, Julian might as well check on the shelves to make sure everything was organized since the last time he paid a visit to the collections. It was a good thing too, because he spotted a few books out of place. Obsessive compulsive disorder quickly triggered in his mind as he rushed over to fix the scattered books. “When you two have finished browsing through the selections,” he mentioned, “I’d very much appreciate it if books that aren’t going to be checked out, be placed back in its proper place.” Nothing personal, but it was something of a policy of his to make sure none of the items were damaged or weathered down faster. It was already hard enough to preserve books in mint condition without constant maintenance, but little things like putting them back in good order does little wonders. ❀ Seyka, Julian~ Not that late, hun. | Cassandra viewed Seyka with visible amusement as she practically gushed over the genre choice. Well, it seemed that the other girl enjoyed fantasy quite a bit. Yes, those sorts of fairytales had often filled her mind with illusions of grandeur as a little girl. Now the princess enjoyed tales with a darker twist than happy endings or everlasting peace. Perhaps it should have been the opposite with how dark reality could really be. One would think she would like bright tales where everyone was happy and whole and safe. Cassandra often wondered why her nature could sometimes hold a more pessimistic tinge, but she was able to make sure it did not bleed into her personal life. Books with tragic endings were enough to satiate the more shadowed side of her heart.
“It seems we do,” she agreed instead. Julian lead the way as he perused the shelves for the fantasy section. Cassandra wondered if he was hoping to be rid of the both of them as soon as possible. Her lips quirked into a smile of amusement at the thought, since she did not think it was that far from the truth. Soon enough her attention was taken by the shelves taken by her preferred genre of books. Blue eyes roved over the titles before she settled on a large tome of fairytales by the Brothers Grimm. She knew a few of them to have a darker connotation to the, which would satisfy her desires just fine. There was no need for Julian to worry about her taking out too many books to find just one. She tended to know what she wanted before acting.
“As you wish, Julian,” she replied with her most charming smile sent his way. A part of her still wanted to see if she could fluster him like Seyka and herself had before. Small, amusing things to pass the time while Seyka searched for her own book. It would certainly allow her day to pass by quickly without thinking upon more stressful matters. Cassandra was content to wait for Seyka and see what she decided to pick out. |
