Ailonwy is not the most outgoing young maiden, but she is kind to almost everyone she meets. Her sweetness to even strangers seemed to be a draw for some when they catch sight of her. In someways, it does warrant her brother's protective streak, since Ailonwy can sometimes be naive towards unwelcome intentions towards her. That certainly does not mean she is unintelligent, but her ignorance to some things leaves her a little vulnerable to unsavory characters. She has learned to be more cautious over the years as she matures and tends to hide her true feelings behind a polite mask. She very much prefers to keep her own feelings to herself whenever she can.

Her temper is rather nonexistent to anyone that does not know her well. No, Ailonwy much prefers to get back at someone in a more subtle manner. Being manipulative is not something she is above utilizing if it means getting her way when she truly wants something. Being direct has never been a strong trait of hers, and being secretive is so much better in the end. Otherwise, Ailonwy is mostly a sweet and cheerful girl when first approached and quite loyal to those that grow close to her. No doubt in part to the canine influence she was born with.

Ailonwy was certainly taught the importance of family loyalty and duty the moment she could walk and speak. It is a lesson that has been carried in her heart throughout her entire life, but certainly not with the same severity as was placed upon her older brother. No, she was certainly not expected to be the next Chieftain of the tribe. No doubt her fate was to make a good bride to whatever suitor her father deemed worthy, but such things are a long time coming. Ailonwy could not say the majority of her childhood was an unhappy one, since she had the company of her older brother and her childhood friend. As a younger girl, she was taught to be abhorrent of the Merfolk as any Beastman should be. The lesson did not really touch her personally until her mother was killed by one of them.

Ailonwy does not remember her mother too clearly, since the traumatic event had taken place so many years ago. Nonetheless, the young maiden missed a mother's touch while growing up. She loves her father and brother very much, but there is a void in her heart that has been there ever since her mother was taken away. All she remembers now is the comforting scent of lavender. Much of her time is spent in the familiarity of her home in Volos. It is her home and she has no true, lasting desire to leave and explore Illusia. Perhaps in the future when she can take care of herself better, and if her brother allows her to even make the attempt.

Much of her time is spent exploring the territory that her father watched over protectively. Ailonwy may not wish to explore beyond the boundaries of her home, but she likes exploring anything unknown she can find within her comfort zone. Small, fun adventures that her father and brother allow her to indulge in. For now she lives her life as she has always done so, and hoping that she may get the chance to have something exciting happen to her in the future.
