| A small tune was being hummed in the air. Idly, a young green-haired lass perched herself comfortably in the cushy grass of the woods hunting for flowers. Or rather seeds to be exactly. She wanted to try her hand at making dye so she could start dying clothes all sorts of pretty colors. She found a rather pretty bloom in a cluster gently taking it into her grasp. Sey Sey took a small whiff of it loving the fragrance it possessed. The flower went up into her hair before she continued off with her little hunt once again. Her basket wasn’t even half-full with flowers and seeds.
When she didn’t have any luck with the patch of flowers she had now then it was time to move on. Once she picked up all of the flowers she wanted, and harvested seeds from plants she couldn't bring herself to take from the earth, she started walking in search of new wild flower patch. The sound of the wildlife was rather soothing to her. The way the faint sounds of birds chirping in the canopy above as southern birds returned from their migration to start families. Then the subtle shuffles in the shrubbery of little critters that hibernated through winter were awakening from their slumbers. Sey Sey hoped that she’d be able to see a rabbit or a doe one of these days!
Suddenly, she stopped abruptly in the middle of her tracks. Oceanic blue eyes flickered softly gazing around at the vicinity. Something told her she wasn’t alone anymore. She usually trusted her instincts. Was it something hostile? Or perhaps she was getting spooked too soon? If all else fails then flying up into the air was the best option. She swallowed down her nerves before raising her voice up. “Hello? Is someone out there~?”

She was beautiful. There were times when a thought could hit someone so strongly that everything felt like it was slowing down. For him, this happened to be one of those times. The sight of the green-haired faerie of the forest startled him when he first saw her from a distance. A hum escaped her, most likely some tune she invented or heard performed recently. The way she moved so carefully showed her respect for the area around her. Trampling nature needlessly wasn't her agenda. When he realized that he crept close enough to see the color of her eyes - a gorgeous blue that invoked thoughts of the ocean - he knew he was in trouble... even more so when she asked if someone was out there. Crap, crap, crap! What in the world could he do or say besides 'hey, uh, sorry for staring at you. I'm not a creepy person, honest!' Yeah. That would go over so well. Might as well get it over with. "Ehehe... sorry for startling you, ma'am." The elven lad rose into a standing position from the bush he had been crouching behind. "I was passing through here on by way back to Asgard and didn't want to disturb you. Some folk are pretty peculiar about strangers coming out of the wood work and striking up a conversation, and you looked like you were pretty engaged with what you were doing."★ seyka rozengale ★ sadly, riley cannot do what serendipity did, because he lacks that spiffy magic

| Oh! So, she was right on the money~ There was somebody there, but she didn’t expect him to pop out of a bush. An elf! The first thing she noticed right away by the spontaneous company was his matching forest locks. They were a tad darker than her own but they were still pretty. She had to resist the urge to scamper over to touch them.
“No, no. I’m the one who should apologize. I psyched myself out.” She flashed an cheesy grin as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. Sey Sey remembered a moment like this before~ Out in the middle of the woods on her own, then suddenly something rustled the bushes. She completely freaked out thinking it was ruffians or thugs. When in reality it was just a little bunny. One could never be too careful with those critters. They can probably smell fear. Clever rabbits.
“You do have a point though,” she mentioned, “Out here, you’ll find many people who’ve got stranger danger radars turned up to the max. Nothing personal, including yours truly.” Upon mentioning what she was doing earlier, she looked down to her basket. Was he watching her gather flowers and seeds? A giggle escaped her lips as she lifted up her basket. “It’s nothing of great importance. I’ve been gathering flowers and seeds so I can try my hand at making dye.” The local designers of Meridell made it look like it was child's play with how easily they could make any color of the rainbow, and many more. Though Seyka made sure to pay her respects to the earth to which she took the colorful flowers, and little seeds that could've been potential blooms.
Though she placed her basket down to her side. The greenette was more interested in the elven lad~! It was always a ~*~magical~*~ experience to meet somebody from outside of Whispering Woods. “You say you're from Asgard, correct?” she asked curiously, “What brought you all the way out here? If you don't mind me asking~”

"Well... I'm sort of from Asgard right now, I guess..." Riley reached up to tug a leaf out of his hair, fighting back the heat that threatened to flood his cheeks. Egad, getting all tongue tied and having a stomach full of butterflies isn't something he needed to deal with right now. Play it cool! Play it easy! ...damn, that really did sound kind of cheesy. "I'm a transfer student who has been dodging classes so I can go off exploring like this." A lopsided grin formed on his face and he raised his hand to his hair again, this time slipping it backwards to rest on the back of his neck and rub. "My mother found a man she wanted to be with and I was getting those third wheel vibes, so I came here to get a taste of independence. Issue is that there is so much to do and see that I've yet to actually buckle down and attend one of the lectures. Pretty sure someone is going to wonder who the weird elf in the dorms is if I don't get my act together..."That didn't exactly answer her question, huh? Raising his other hand, Riley pointed straight up. "For what brought me out here is pretty simple; fruit. I've been living on severely limited funds until I try to pick up on some part time work and I don't want to depend on the school. Coming out here and gathering something to eat didn't sound like that bad of an idea. I've heard stories of people who live in forests like this that practically survive on just what grows in the wild, and I heard that there is a place called Meridell out here too, so it just... and... it seemed like a good idea at the time..."Smooth. Real smooth. Man, how lame could he get? So much for making a good impression on a pretty girl. ★ seyka rozengale ★ he tries. really, he does! he just tends to fail <3;

| Seyka’s expression remained completely interested across her features listening to the young elf boy explain himself. She’s heard many things about places that differed completely from the simple but tranquil setting of the Whispering Woods. Travelers who made pit-stops in the humble treetop village would speak of cities of grand splendor. People from all over the place and continued to sight-see what they could in their live. They all talked about one big city in particular, and that was none other than Asgard. The capital of Illusia, which had the open waters, clear as crystals mined from caverns, as it's backyard. Where people from all over lived in peace, of opportunities, and bustling with all sorts of activity.
A transfer student? An individual who switched schools from where he was originally to Asgard. It was rather rare for anybody to transfer to Meridell. Then again, she had to remind herself that her home was a small town. It wasn’t like their lacking a proper education system, but their numbers were much lower in comparison to a place such as Asgard. Though she could share the sentiments on wishing to be independent in a way.
She was still trying to find a suitable field of interest to settle down with. For the time being she was freelancing wherever she could, and living off of the land for the most part. She had no quarrels sleeping up in a tree or foraging for her food. Speaking of which, she found out that is exactly what he was doing as well. “Interested in the woods, and maybe finding Meridell, huh?” she inquired with a soft smile, “You’re just in luck. That’s where I’m from actually~” An imaginary light bulb flashed on top of her head. She bounced on the balls of her feet a few times causing her evergreen locks to bobble wildly to and fro. “The trouble with school is that they try to use one universal method of learning to teach people lessons. To me, I believe there are many ways to gain knowledge, from something as simple as reading books to earning worldly experience first-hand. It’s just a matter of preferences.” Seyka personally loved learning things first-hand… even if she may end up getting in trouble for any mischievous acts that were triggered by innocent curiosity. Those were the best kind of lessons.
“What do you say I help you out?” she offered. “Gathering quests and foraging through the forest isn’t easy unless you know you’re way around these woods.” Sey Sey nodded her head with utter confidence. “Especially if you’re interested in visiting Meridell~” A giggle escaped her lips, giving him an obvious hint. She wouldn't mind at all acting as a guide for the day.

The day didn't want to turn out like he expected it to. Not that Riley really minded this, no not at all. If anything he found himself enjoying it so much more than he initially thought he would. What sort of person would he be if he didn't enjoy stumbling across a beautiful girl that then went and offered to give him a helping hand? Considering the length of time it would take to return to Asgard from here, enjoying things while he could felt like the better thing to do. "I'd love for you to help. The name's Riley, Riley Mores. It's nice to meetcha." The green-haired teenager extended his hand in the traditional handshake gesture. "My companion, Cappuccino, is wandering right now munching on grass, so if you see a brown horse nearby, don't worry too much. She's really friendly and likes green things." The number of times she tried to munch on his hair might be alarming, but she never hurt him in the process so he really couldn't find it in him to complain about it too much. Even if he left now, if he was this close to Meridell, it would take over a day to get back to Asgard on horseback. On foot, the trip generally took four or five days, because he liked to stop for rest. It was three days of straight walking without rest to make it back sooner, yeesh... yeah, this is why Cappuccino and him bonded as well as they did; he make sure she was groomed and fed, and she made sure his legs didn't give away underneath him due to walking so much. "Are you out here alone?" The thought hit him suddenly, making him blink a few times. "You don't look like you're that old... I mean, I know faeries and elves kind of stop aging, but... still getting used to not guessing a person's age." Coming from an elf, that just sounded strange. True, but strange. ★ seyka rozengale ★ shame on her <3 for that, she'll just have to come to school too

| “More or less,” she answered with a smile, “I'm not that young~ Don’t let my looks fool you. I’m seventeen.” She blamed it mostly on having a baby face that it made it ten times harder to pin point her age. Though many people said it was a blessing in disguise. If people could easily guess your age then it would make them easier to tease, right? Last thing she wanted was anybody calling her an old hag. What girl would honestly? She was totally getting distracted with scatter-brained thoughts. Sey Sey nearly forgot to properly introduce herself to the student skipping school. It would be rude to not give a name when he gave his.
“My name is Seyka Rozengale, but you may call me Sey for short. Pleased to meet you Riley. That’s a really cute name. It suits you~” He also mentioned he had a brown horse name Cappuccino. She had to bite down on her lip to resist the urge to giggle. That was way too cute. “I hope I can meet your mare soon. She sounds really cute too.” The little greenette absolute adored animals as well. There was no secret as to her affinity with the wild. It was simply part of her.
“I’m sure you’re gonna love it in Meridell. It’s not as grand or big as Asgard but it’s got its own sense of beauty about it. And besides, how many villages do you know that’s built in the trees?” she exclaimed excitedly. She waved her hand to follow her. Like Tinker Bell taking Peter Pan back to Neverland~! “We recently acquired a new Librarian and get this~ He’s a beastman. Also, I met a new faerie of this parts too. She’s moved here from a far off place.” She paused for a moment. Oh dear, she must've talked Riley's ear off. She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. “I'm sorry, I've been known to be a chatterbox when I get carried away.”

Cute. His name was cute. The urge to tug his hat down almost consumed him, but he resisted since the weird floaty feeling in his stomach acted as a wonderful distraction. Temporary distractions like that could be the best thing at random times. He had to bite down on the middle of his tongue to keep from spitting out 'No your name is much cuter' because, really, that would just sound lame after she went and called him and- oh wait, she said Cappuccino was cute too. ...well, she was, and... just... it... crap, she said a bunch of other things too and he probably should've been paying closer, huh? "A beastman in Meridell? That's... huh..." The few beastmen he knew were pretty chill. They were interesting people that saw the world differently, though that could be said for anyone regardless of their race. The animal qualities they possessed interested him a great deal. How acute were their senses? Sight, smell, taste? Something about that was just really fascinating and really, really cool. A faerie from a far off place and a beastman - looked like Asgard wasn't the only place getting some interesting people lately. "There isn't anything wrong with being a chatterbox. It just means that you've got a busy mind and plenty to talk about." Riley laughed as he spoke, his smile reaching his eyes. The sound of nearby grass crunching and a all-too-familiar neighing sound caused him to pick up the speed. Just a short distance away near a tall tree was his brown mare, looking all too pleased with herself for finding a particularly lush spot of grass to graze on. "Cappuccino, this is the lovely faerie of the forest, Sey. Sey, this is the noble mount I ride on with or without shining armor." The mare, content with her grass, barely moved at all when Riley approached her to stroke her mane. "She's a gentle lass with a warm heart and a bit of a temper when she doesn't get her way, but she's one of the best companions a person could want."★ seyka rozengale ★ he's the first character of mine to actually call her 'sey'. this is weiiird

| Interesting things have enticed a few brows to quirk up in the little town. Not that the young greenette was complaining since she loved being on her toes with discovering the unknown. It was like the few seconds of getting anxious as you climb up a roller coaster in the rider seat. The jump right before the fluttering feeling of free falling took over that sent shivers down her spine. Tingles from the tips of her fingers to the bottom of her toes. Yeah, it was quite easy to tell that Sey Sey was the type of person who had no problems with going with the flow of things. Planning out every single little thing sounded rather tedious. There was no spontaneity in it~
“Oh, that’s good then. If I ever talk your ear off then you can totally tell me to hush,” she grinned a bubbly grin. Her attention was quickly captivated by the sudden sounds of crunching grass. Then the neighing of a mare rang in her ears. Would you look at that! They didn’t have to travel far or wide in Whispering Woods to find the horse Riley aforementioned. A most audible gasp escaped her lips as she laid her oceanic orbs upon the beautiful steed.
“Look at her coat~” she exclaimed happily, “She’s been well cared for.” Many people don’t notice little things such as a well-kept coat, or the way Cappuccino contently munched on the grass while the two individuals were beside it. “It’s very nice to meet you.” Seyka even went as far as bowing before the horse. Some might find this a bit strange, but the greenette respected all living things, from the trees to animals such as the majestic horse. “Would miss Cappuccino like to accompany us to Meridell? I can treat you to something nice as well~” A giggle escaped her lips feeling a little silly talking to the horse.

"Whaddya say, girl? Up for a bit of adventure today?" If Cappuccino was against it, he would've discovered that much earlier. Coming all the way up here wouldn't be possible without her presence. It really was kind of nice - the trees and the flowers, and the way that everything came together to feel special. Magic hummed in air, filling everything with a sense of peace and beauty. If things at the school didn't work out like he wanted, then he would just run away to the forest and begin working on becoming a famous adventurer earlier than he intended to. When the mare straightened, Riley climbed up without a moment of hesitation. He run his hands down her mane, making sure to pat her neck, and leaned down a bit to offer his hand out to Seyka. "We'll be off, fair maiden." It was funny in some ways; even if the female with him wasn't a faerie, the genuine sweetness and cheer she possessed, along with her beautiful looks, would give her the vibe of being a child of the forest. Somehow it just felt like it was part of who she was. Something comforting could be said for that. "I like the way the light comes in through the trees. This is what I used to imagine Avalon was like until I actually stopped by and visited it. It's a lot more... different... there." No words could describe the part of Avalon he ventured into. It wasn't all bright and magical and full of good things. That particular part had enough darkness to cause the hairs on his arms and neck to stand up. Just thinking about it gave him the shivers. "Have you lived here your entire life? What do you do most of the time, or is frolicking your main pastime?"★ seyka rozengale ★ if this was a video game, there would be bandits trying to kidnap seyka :c
