The first impression you'd get of Cynthia is that she is quite lacking in personality. Withdrawn from both surroundings and people alike, her cold penetrating eyes are the indication that she is capable of emotion – silent critical judgment. Initial conversation would consist of maintaining an acceptable degree of politeness thinly veiled with sarcasm, this is unless you have made a good impression on her. In that case, her utmost respect and courtesy would become genuine. It may not be obvious, but she is a true tsundere, looking down on others before gradually opening up to those patient enough to win her trust.
Should the elf by wronged in anyway, her vindictive streak would be revealed and all debts would be forcibly replayed, one way or another. She is temperamental and often gets herself into more fights than she could handle, where she reveals a dark aura of sadism. Cyn is not above torture, to those she believes to deserve it, but fortunately, she rarely does find those worthy of her wrath. Courtesy to her age, the blasé elf struggles to find sympathy towards strangers in need and is only concerned for herself, making her a selfish and easily jealous individual.
For Cynthia, everything comes in extremes. Her vehement and passionate personality fuels her determination to reach her goals, not matter how small. If she applies herself, she would be resolute, persistent and persevering. Conversely, when times grow mundane, she would not hesitate to simple lay back and try to enjoy the simple pleasures of life as they come. The competitive elf would never back down from a challenge. She bears high self-esteem, holding herself in what could almost be seen as arrogance.

Bearing no recollection of her biological parents, Cynthia's memories begin at the age of five in a humble cottage. Her surrogate father was, on the surface, a venerable beastman and, underneath, a strict sergeant driven into insanity by his fiery hatred for merfolk. The first two decades of Cynthia's life consisted of: work, train, learn, sleep, rinse and repeat. Thinking back, the elf could only assume that the beastman's intent had been to sharpen a budding elven flower into a deadly weapon against his long-time enemy.
His relationship with Cynthia was complicated: there were moments when he acted as true family, reading bedtime stories, preparing gourmet-standard home cooked meals, educating her on the workings of nature, enjoying quality hunting time together. And there were the more frequent stages of strict, harsh, relentless combat training. Was it justified? She would never know.
The beastman died in Cynthia's early twenties. She mourned his death for several weeks. Then moved on. She forgot his name.
Inserting herself and learning the conventions of society, she lived a nomadic life, traversing across many lands and terrains. That's not to say that she completely accepts this new lifestyle. True to her race, exposure to constant change is uncomfortable and borderline irritating, this situation breeding the complexity in her treatment towards others. After hearing the mad ravings of her father, Cyn remains wary of merfolk but understands that her conception of them may be skewed horribly. Still, she tends to avoid them.
