Kessie is, first and foremost, an energetic being. She doesn’t bother hiding the fact that she is naturally gifted with the talent of talking a person’s ear off or that her train of thought is often to get derailed. She is quick to find something boring after a short amount of time and requires a good time to keep her entertained. A natural curiosity leads to both trouble and fun when it’s as great as Kessie’s. While she does keep normally thoughtful outlooks on many subjects, that won’t stop her, being impulsive when it comes to getting an answer.

As a cheerful and smiling individual, most don’t take her as a threat or as someone to worry about upsetting. Quite the opposite would be true in this case, though. Kessie is both untrustworthy and untrusting of most people, not having a problem with sparing a lie or two if it’s prominent to help herself. Her ability to deliver stories on a regular basis with little to no thought, and have them be believable, makes her a hard person to read -- and that’s what she’s going for. Only do those who truly (and rarely) catch her attention and keep her interested have a much easier time understanding the labyrinth that is Kessie.

You know, the thing that really sucks about being a character in bedtime stories and children's fairytale books is that when the whole world thinks you're a myth, it's hard to become part of the world. For Kessie Fray, that's what always went through her head. Her family and group of other merfolk thought she was a weird one from the beginning, but when she brought up actually walking on the land... She didn't believe she had ever been scolded that much.

All Kessie ever wanted to do was to see and talk to humans and the other races like they were equal, not like they were something to hide from. There were ancient stories of getting legs and a dangerous process to do it, but Kessie had really never been one to think of something as completely dangerous. Just thrilling. And when her parents told her that doing something of the like was forbidden, it only drove her closer to wanting to do it.

The only problem? Kessie isn't quite sure where to start. For now, Kessie is left to wonder what, exactly, she will need to do. Now she wonders if the answers she's searching for aren't even with her people at all, but with the humans or the other races above. Soooo yeah, she'll just stick around for some helpful words from the people above the surface or until her parents give into hearing information. Though, patience has never been a good spot for Kessie...
