❀ Estel! Radu! LET US DO THIS | It was dark and rainy outside once more. Windows cast moving shadows down onto the wooden floors of the archives. And somewhere near, and young wizard-in-training had begun to really tear apart the room, and then neatly put everything back. It was much past midnight, the last time he checked, when a song started. Yes it was very peculiar! And what was weirder was that the green moon had shown itself again, it glistened behind dark clouds and millions of rain droplets. The storm was back as well, with thunder at varying volumes just the last time.
Gideon was trying to find a source. Maybe there was anything in the books! Any kind of hint he would be grateful for! The boy scurried around in darkness, only a small and faint yellow lit candle lighted his path. His outfit was once again a bit wet, but not so much as the last time the storm hit. The song kept going, and he found no reason behind it!
It was the work of magic. For some reason its presence was...louder this time? Anyway, he quickly made his way over here after it had started. NOW something was wrong, but he didn't know in what way yet. Was this bad? Was it good? Oh, his attention was focused too much on the books and what was in them to pay attention to anything! To pay attention to anything else around him! |

Libraries were really creepy at night. Estel, who had been well-lectured about the dangers of having an open flame in a library, had set her small candle-enclosed lantern down on a window ledge. Peering out through the glass at the sky outside, she shivered. " It ain't got a proper direction," she said over her shoulder to Gideon. Frowning at the lack of response, she actually looked - her friend had wandered off again. Picking up her lantern, she went to find him. " It ain't got a proper direction," she repeated, speaking in a soft voice. Even she wouldn't yell in the library. " No matter where I go, it doesn't sound any closer or further away. It's weird." ★ sing sing a song

Again, another storm as well as that strange moon. Radu had left the town to see if he could find a clue as to what was happening. The town so far was normally peaceful, so he figured the other guards were capable of handling it. Although, he had hoped to get an idea on where he was and to some sort of shelter before the storm hit and rain was pouring down on him. Granted, he had heard the sound and really all he wanted was to find the source. Despite his efforts, he couldn't tell if he was closer or farther to it than before. The sound of the storm certainly wasn't helping.
To Radu's surprise, he found a building eventually. Going inside, he closed the door and sighed lightly. Well, at least he was out of the rain. But he was already soaking wet so...oh well, it didn't matter. Glancing around, the place was rather dark, but once he bumped into a bookcase and a book hit him on the head. He had a good idea on where he was at. Well, all he knew was it was a library he was in. The fact that there were other people here and that he probably shouldn't be here, was unknown to him.

| After some more searching Gideon figured that this section was useless to him, might as well go find Estel. Yes she came with him. But he did feel bad for doing that, but since she didn't seem very tired it was a bit conflicting. The storm just HAD to be terrorizing the ground much below the village, with what the water coming down and all. But how much did Gideon know on the weather anyway?
Carefully he guided through the dark, he didn't want to cause a fire now did he? He looked left and right, even though his range of sight was limited. "Estel?" he repeated. The Rune Archives were pretty big, but hopefully they didn't wander too far away from each other. Then suddenly there was a noise. A noise like, when someone was there but not talking to you. Gideon appeared around one of the shelves, where he heard it. It wasn't Estel.
"AH!" he yelled, in very clear surprise. From seeing the unknown person he jumped back, it was quite scary to see someone soaking wet in the dark who you did not expect. When he bumped into the bookshelf behind him something wobbled, oh no. Gideon looked up, and got hit with a very tough-cornered book right on his forehead! It made a small, but deep cut as the thick old book hit the floor. "agh..." that hurt. |

Thud. A shout. Another thud. Had Gideon knocked something over? Estel rounded a corner, sliding to a halt. Books on the floor, and a stranger in the library. An older, unfamiliar man, and a human, from the looks of it. She didn't want to jump to conclusions, but... " Who are you?" Estel asked, her wings beating behind her as she moved protectively over to Gideon. She stared evenly up at Radu, fully prepared to jump to her friend's defense - whether Gideon needed it or not. ★ no Estel he's nice it's okay

"Ah!" Radu said as he took a few steps back when Gideon appeared.
Only to see the book land on the Gideon's head. He was about to ask if he was alright when another person showed up. Radu wasn't looking for any fights and he didn't want any harm to come to anyone, it was bad enough that Gideon was hurt.
"I'm Radu March. I'm sorry for intruding it wasn't my intention nor was your friend getting hurt." Radu explained calmly. "I didn't know anyone else was here and in fact I have no idea where I am. I was just trying to figure out what is with all these storms lately. And turns out I obviously got caught in one."

| Gideon's head ached for a bit. The spot of the corner's impact stung much greater than the rest of his brain. Instead of facing the other man he leaned over a bit, because of how it hurt. The candle he was holding was on the ground, it was fixed to the tiny stand so the flame did not hit the floor luckily. It would be an even messier of a situation for there to be a fire. Eventually he got back up, to see Estel in front of him. Her wings were spread out in a protective fashion and "just because" Gideon decided to stay hiding behind her.
"Do you know anything?" Gideon asked after he stopped talking. The man looked human. He had never seen anyone like him around here before. "Aren't you human? How did you even get up here?"he asked after a quick head to toe look, looking up at him just as Estel was. Three crashes happened in the distance, as if to put in a "dun dun dun" for dramatic effect. A drop of blood indeed dropped from his forehead, hitting the book below him with the most quiet of pats. |

There was one word in Radu's introduction that stood out more than others. " Hurt?" Frowning, Estel looked back at Gideon. " ...oh. You're bleeding." Deciding the newcomer was harmless enough, Estel returned the books to the shelves, holding the lantern close to their spines to make sure she got them back in the right places. " I'm Estel," she said, a bit belatedly, sitting down on the floor between the shelves. " We were lookin' for... well, we were investigating." As she spoke, she rummaged around in her bag with both hands. There was the snap of a box opening and shutting, and Estel held up a pad of gauze triumphantly before dabbing at Gideon's forehead with it. " You got nailed pretty good, huh, G." ★ ow.

"I'm afraid I don't know more than you most likely." Radu said. "All I know is that the green moon has something to deal with it in some way and I can hear a sound when I was outside. I can't tell what it is nor locate it."
Radu paused when he was asked about how did he get up here. What? Was he above ground or something?
"Yes I am a human and...I honestly didn't realize I climbed anything. I was just trying to get out of that storm." Radu said, hearing Estel introduce herself, he returned his attention to her. "It's nice to meet you."
Radu stood there as he watched Estel go through her bag to help Gideon. Sitting down on the floor cross legged, Radu went quiet for a few moments.
"Will he be okay?" Radu eventually asked. "I'm sorry that he got hurt, I really wasn't meaning for that to happen. The book wouldn't have fallen on him if I hadn't bumped into the bookcase after coming in here."

| "A song that never ends and seems to come from all directions? Sounds near but you can't find the source? I'm guessing. And yes I think I'll be okay. Worse things have happened," he answered. "My name is Gideon, by the way." By the way he was called G, it reminded him of how Cassie was wondering about a nickname. At the time he had forgotten that. While he was wrapped with gauze he thought long and hard, about how he got up here.
"How did you get up here...." he whispered to himself. "The accident was fine, something similar would have probably happened even if you didn't. Now where else could we find anything about the moon?" he asked the question to himself mostly. It was a slight habit he had sometimes. He had only explored a few sections so far, most describing magic. Where else was there to look? He thought long and hard about it.
A dab on his head made him flinch. But yes, there have been accidents in the past where the injuries were worse than right now. |

" Nice to meet you," Estel echoed, more out of habit than anything else. Was it really nice? If she took his word for it that it had been an accident, and he'd also managed to get thoroughly lost... well, she was suspicious, but it wouldn't do her any good to treat him badly because of that. At least he was being considerate. " He'll be okay," she confirmed, nodding. " ...the moon?" Where had that come from? Estel sat back on her heels, giving him a blank look. " Um. Astro...logy... section?" ★ ~

"That's one way to describe what I was hearing." Radu said in terms to what Gideon said.
Worse had happened huh? Well that wasn't good. Radu laughed when he heard Estel speak about the astrology section. While he hadn't heard what Gideon had said, he figured it out by what Estel said.
"I think he meant how I got up here." Radu said.

| A light and quiet,"Thanks Estel," came from his lips before he moved on to a different subject. "I wonder if there's anyone else who can hear it,"he said. But most were sleeping were they not? Then they could not, unless it had traveled into their dreams. It seemed possible, since this was most definitely something magical at work here. There could be something in the astrology section. It was the best shot now in terms of options at the library.
"The astrology will sectio-..n.." His sentence trailed off. Okay maybe he was hit harder than he thought. After a quick shake of the head though Gideon was back on track. "I was talking about both actually. Maybe you could tell us exactly how you got here....as we go to the astrology section!" Gideon stood up, with the book that hit him in hand, and put it back on the shelf were it was before. Seeing from above that the man was soaked Gideon took off his own cloak. "Do you want this? Your clothes are soaked after all."

The song was really starting to bother her. And the moon... she wasn't exactly an expert, but even she was well-aware that there wasn't supposed to be a full moon out. Was what they could see in the sky even the moon? " It's this way." Estel set off down the stacks, leaving a faint trail of dust behind her from her wings. The library was difficult to navigate in the dark, but she at least thought she knew where she was going. ★ ~

It was always best to work in groups. After all, one could accomplish more that way. And it would also result in them all helping each other. Radu rose to his feet and followed Gideon and Estel. Although he did shiver due to feeling colder with the wet clothes on. Upon hearing the offer, Radu smiled.
"Thanks but you should keep that for yourself. We don't need two people soaking wet." Radu said.
The song was strange. Completely. It was as if nothing really there was making it. A sigh left him as he heard the storm outside as well as the song. They seemed a bit intermixed but one could tell the other apart from it.
