Whispering Winds [OPEN]

The storm outside was strange. She had been living in the Asgard for all of her life and the storm from the other night had been entirely wrong. It was green outside rather than dark and black. The sound that the wind made as it blew throughout the streets sounded more like a beckoning howl of a beast. The clouds seemed like they were not made of water at all. They did not look as though they were pouring down rain, but instead it looked like the water falling from the sky was liquid crystals. The rain was beautiful and mesmerizing, but that did not stop the rain from being identified as something completely wrong. Ciella normally loved the rain. It was a beautiful thing and often brought people together indoors since there wasn't too many places for them to go. But this rain brought people together in a way that was not positive. People were terrified. People didn't know what to do. She had her shop open the other night just to let people in. The storm made people want to hide and hold a sword hilt for their own protection.
The worst part of the storm was that even after a clear day afterwards filled with cleaning up the mess of the aggressive storm, the moon was full again. It shouldn't have been that way. The moon should have been getting smaller now, but looking at it, it was just as green and maybe even bigger than it had been the other night. It was a miracle in and of itself to see the moon piercing through the smog of clouds overhead. The café was closed this time, however, for the owner was nowhere to be found. No, she was out seeking what she believed to be the source for all the trouble. The wind was whistling a different tune this evening and it seemed like it was omnipotent. There were places she had never been before, and that seemed like the only logical place for the music to be coming from. The tune was beautiful and foreign. Ciella despised it for it was making the world seem at peace while it was in chaos. Liars were one of the things she hated most in the world and she was subject to them daily.
There were rumors that there was a land where the trees themselves could whisper. Ciella had never been there herself, but she wished to have gone since she was a little girl. All the trees that she knew of never had spoken to her before. With the wind singing, the blonde could not thing of any better place to start the search for answers than the Whispering Woods. The trees there were taller than any other place she had seen trees before It was as if she was an ant compared to what normal trees are like around Asgard. Her mouth was open in awe, but that did not deter her from her goal. She was here to find the source of the music: it was plain and simple. Under her green gutta pulcha muslin cloak, she strode into the forest in search for the dark melody playing so beautifully. It would not be surprising to her to find an individual behind it in here from the elves. She meant not to stereotype, but it made a lot of sense. They were exceedingly well trained in music as well as magic. Mixing the two together was not difficult, or so she presumed. TAGGED: OPEN CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

Okay... so maybe he had a little too much to drink. Just a bit. It wasn't his fault that alcohol just tasted so damn good and that he felt the need to engage in something that he would regret later on. If it wasn't for a little voice in the back of his head reminding him that he currently had a roommate and needed to respect the fact that Tempest might not appreciate him bringing back a drunk woman, he might've done just that. So, doing the responsible thing, making out in the woods would have to do. 'cept he kind of passed out and woke up in the morning somewhere further than he thought he might've passed out at, and damn it would take him a long time to walk back when he didn't know which direction to head in the first place. Well, shit. This just wouldn't end up working well in his favor, would it? Nope, not at all. Despite that little drama, the passing of hours did wonders for his headache, and some lunch at a small settlement made everything work out for him. Starting on the long trip back would take awhile, so enjoying it for as long as possible sounded like a better idea. Maybe he should've just taken that chick to Tempest's place after all. Bah. There were some things he began to notice when living (or staying temporarily, at least) in the forest. The first was that some people just stuck out like a sore thumb (himself included). The second was that people had the best reactions to being surprised. A sneak attack at this time of the day? Yes, yes that would work perfectly in his opinion. As stealthily as he could (which wasn't very stealthy), he moved forward and kept low, aiming to come up behind the blonde. In the deepest voice he could pull off, he leaned forward and whispered, "I've seen you naked."★ ciella pendleton ★ because everyone needs to have a visit from mister creeper

It had been bad enough that Ciella was wandering around a place she knew nothing about at this time of night, but to hear constant rustling while it was going on was even worse. The bushes around her seemed like they were alive--more so than bushes should have been that is. If it wasn't so dark in this place, she would have been perfectly comfortable. However, Ciella was not a brave person in the slightest. She had kept to herself with very simple goals. She hadn't left Asgard for the longest time, but now she was faced with a task of finding out the cause of this terrible storm night after night. A task she herself had given. Ciella swore to herself that she would find the source of the sweet melody that rand out through all of the lands. Again, she wished not to be racially profiling the elvish race, but it was difficult to believe that a magically proficient and musically active race could not at all be involved with the storm. At the least, they taught the source how to do such a thing.
The rustling became so loud at some point that it caused the blonde to stop in her tracks and turn around. Her hands were clasped over her heart as if she could willfully slow it down. A worried expression was on her face. She could have sworn she had just seen a figure in the bushes, but then everything stilled around her. Nothing good could come from staring at the bush until she was eaten. As such, Ciella turned tail and began walking at a faster pace. She wasn't sure if it was the wind playing tricks on her, or if there was really somebody following her. She kept thinking that she saw a person behind her, but there was never any clear indication that they were there when she looked. Were the shadows of the night playing tricks on her? Were the Gods toying with her innocence? The café girl wasn't sure, but she didn't want to wait and find out that the shadows were not simply playing tricks and she didn't want to find some lone bear coming to eat out her heart and claw her stomach open.
The rustling became even more obnoxious and was then followed by a pattern of footsteps. There was no amount of wind that could crunch leaves and snap twigs in such a rhythm. She swore she wouldn't turn around. She didn't want to see herself die. If she was going to die, she was going to die looking at life rather than death. The blonde felt hot breath come onto her neck. Her body tensed up. She was paralyzed. Her eyes were closed tight and her breath came to a stop. For a moment, there was complete silence. Then, the monster spoke to her. "I've seen you naked." A set of very confused emotions flew through the woman's mind. She felt like she should have screamed as a gut reaction, but there was something else that came to mind. She felt much more perplexed than she did terrified. And on top of that, there was a whole bunch of embarrassment. Seen her naked? The only people who have seen her naked are those who took care of her as a child. And then there was the one time where she had--
"Back off, you perv!" Ciella screamed at the top of her lungs. She turned around quickly and pushed him off of her. This guy that she was looking at was not somebody she particularly remembered. Maybe he was a customer, but she didn't even recognize him slightly. Ciella was breathing heavily and shaking her head. "Who do you think you are to sneak up on a girl like me and say perverted things like that? What are you, some kind of sex offender? Did you follow me in here? You're such a creep!" At this point, Ciella was blurting out most everything that came to her mind. There were barely brakes between the sentences she spoke. She was scared for a long time, and now there was a creeper following her that claimed to see her naked. Strangers snooping around in storms scaring girls can't be good people by any measure. There's no such thing as "good fun" in being a pervert to strangers. TAGGED: Elwyn, OPEN CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

Trying to keep himself from cracking up into laughter was one of the hardest challengers of the day. For a long moment all Elwyn did was stare at the pretty blonde thing, taking her in and watching her mouth with no small amount of fascination. How would she react to him reaching out and grabbing her by the chin to plant a big one on her mouth? Considering how she reacted to what he did with the entire sneaking up behind her thing, it wouldn't surprise him if she whirled her hand around and smacked him across the way for the attempt. Tempting, but he'd have to pass. Making a move on someone when fairly sure it would fail would just make him look like an idiot. "You wound me with your sharp tongue, ma'am. It would be better used for other things." Wagging his own tongue, Elwyn looked like a kid in a candy store by how elated he appeared. What could be better than having some fun with a girl in the woods like this? ...well, many things, but he couldn't think of a lot off the top of his head, so this worked just perfectly fine in his book. Not like he had anywhere else to be at the current moment. "Now, I have not followed you out here like some big bad wolf ready to pounce, nor have I come here to injure you. Or, as your words suggest, steal the flower of your innocence." Compared to his goofy tongue wagging and expression just moments ago, the dark-haired man attempted to keep his expression perfectly schooled and even. Sometimes whiplash like that made for the most fun encounters. "I was merely in the midst of wandering towards my current residence and saw a fair maiden in the trees here. Nothing is wrong with that, is there?"Time to bring it in a bit. Looking around, Elwyn hummed thoughtfully. "Seriously though, walking alone in town isn't usually that good for a woman, so being out here without an escort is even worse. Where are you heading, blondie?"★ ciella pendleton ★ poor ciella <3;; she probably deserves it for something

Yes, she understood that the words that she spat at him were accusatory, but Ciella felt as though she couldn't respond any other way. After all, he was a creep who had taken the time to stalk her in the middle of the dark forest. Not to mention that he would whisper something so awkward and perverted as having seen her naked. It was just wrong in so many ways. It made her think that he had the mind of a fifteen year old boy who was just discovering what breasts were. Whoever this guy was, she couldn't believe how he thought he could come back with such smooth and elated language and expect her to believe him. Ciella wasn't stupid, at least not to the point of not knowing how to read people. As a café owner, she knows how to people watch like a professional. But elegant language can be presented by anybody; the actions of a pervert and a stalker take but a select group of people with sick intentions, even if the intentions are for humor alone. To the blonde, there was nothing funny about this.
Ciella took another step back. Her face was still pinker than a carnation in the sweetest of springs. Her expression was a mixture of anger and embarrassment. "You were watching me in the trees?!" she blurted out. One of her arms lifted in front of her face as Ciella leaned back. "By the Gods, that's so creepy!" She increased the distance between her and the black haired man before her. He used such redeeming phrasing, but there was so much wrong with his word choice. She may have seen things from his point of view if he hadn't been so creepy before. Besides, nobody can transform from a creeper to a completely dignified man in a matter of seconds. It just doesn't work like that. People can't be everybody unless they suffer from some sort of disease--even then they don't know it. She continued to respond to him. "There's everything wrong with that! You're a stranger to me; it's so weird for you to do that!" Her tone was just as urgent as before and just as stressed.
The worst part of it was that he seemed to think everything was alright. And she didn't mean in the sense that he had fixed things--no, he seemed not to have any problems with what had been going on as of late. People seemed so cheery even in the midst of a continental crisis. There was nothing normal about these storms. Nobody thought that these kinds of things happened on accident. The moon even remained stagnant in its phases. Not to mention it changed color. The moonlight wasn't supposed to be green. That was just wrong in a thousand ways. And the song, did he not hear it the other night? She couldn't quite hear it right now, but in her mind, it played over and over as if something was forcing her to succumb to the storm's lullaby. "Are you kidding me? You act all weird and ask me where I'm going next? Talk about desperate." Ciella rolled her eyes. He didn't need to know, but at the same time, he was right. It wasn't safe for a girl like her to be out in the woods all by herself.
"But..." Ciella mumbled. It almost sounded like she was regretting that single word. She knew now that she couldn't change her mind--he would just prod her and follow her. The blonde sighed and drew a hand through her hair. "You're right that I can't stay out here by myself. While you're definitely not my first choice of company, you'll have to do for now." She looked down the dirt path for a moment. The trees towering above created complete darkness down the path that anything could be in. The elves could see, she bet, but she was just a human. Was she making the right choice? Was she going to suffer for her idiocy? Looking back at the man, she spoke again. "That storm and that song, it all sounds like it could be something that people of the forest could do. I mean, the elves are good with magic and music. I don't mean anything by stereotyping them, but it's worth checking, isn't it? Where else could the whisper of a lullaby come than the Whispering Woods?" It made sense in her head. She just hoped it made sense to him as well. TAGGED: Elwyn, OPEN CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

But. Oh, what an absolutely wonderful word that was. Did she know how much power that gave him? If she continued on with her rant about him being a creep (to which he completely agreed with since he had done something pretty strange to get her attention), then walking away and turning a blind eye to her after this moment would work perfectly. Oh, but saying 'but' like she did mean that she had something on her mind, and something that would be way too much fun to just ignore without a thought. "You'll have to do for now." The way she said it was positively delicious. Yes, yes, this would most definitely be a fun encounter no matter how it started out. Granted, it started out awesome for him, so that didn't really make much of a difference, now did it? Ooooh, sometimes he did wish someone could do this to him, just so he could see what it was like for the tables to be flipped like that. Must be a pretty cool scenario from that side as well. "Yeah, elves are good with magic and music." Stereotyping or not, the pretty little blonde hand a point. Humming thoughtfully, Elwyn raised his arms up to the back of his neck and clasped his hands together, leaving his elbows bent. He walked leisurely like this, looking around as he did so. If he was going to take on the role of some sort of escort, might as well get relaxed and comfortable. "I can't say I was paying too much attention to that entire storm and song thing. It was pretty weird from what others have said though."That and the fact the moon had been full again... definitely peculiar. Arching an eyebrow, he dipped his head down slightly to get a better look at her. "Don't you have friends to come out here with? Ilusia might be safer than, say, Heim, but, uh... still seems kind of odd to be wandering about all alone." Common sense could go a long way. Whistling, he managed a grin again. "Annnyway! The name's Elwyn. Nice'ta meetcha. If you want me to actually see you naked, I'm totally up for that right now too. Something about the forest just gets the hormones pumping."★ ciella pendleton ★ he is a terrible person and he knows it
