ATTICUS FALLON TWENTY-SIX SUMMER TAVERN OWNER | BISEXUAL SIX FEET ELF LEO |
personality
Atticus is something of an enigma. There are times that he's easy to figure out, and others not so much. Like many others, his mood can fluctuate from one emotion to the next at the drop of a hat depending on the situation at hand. For the mot part, however, he's relatively easy going, charming (or so he feels), and is relatively easy to get along with. As laid back as he is, it isn't uncommon to find a lopsided grin or smirk playing at his lips. He has a tendency to be overly cocky and arrogant at times, but for all the self praise, he does know his limits. He pushes forward, and tries to keep positive about many things. There's always something new to be curious about, and as far as he's concerned, there's nothing wrong with getting into a bit of trouble now and again. Flirting has definitely gotten him in trouble more than once. He can't help it, really. It's sort of like a disease.
Although Atticus is generally laid back and personable, he isn't quick to trust, and is wary for a while. But if true feelings and intentions are shown from the get-go and there's no pussyfooting around, then all should be well and clear. Being an elf, Atticus is pretty private about his personal life and past. He's not overly fond of sharing things like that with people, and he doesn't. When he's not spending time at the tavern, he enjoys archery. Although common for many elves, he finds it to be relaxing, and enjoyable. He's devoted a good portion of his life learning it. He enjoys making small pieces of jewelry from time to time.

history
Having not been raised by his own mother, there were certainly some rough patches throughout Atticus's childhood. Like some, Atticus was the result of a summer fling of sorts, and was blessed to a woman who was too young to be raising a child in the first place. However, she decided that she would own up to the responsibility, even if the father wouldn't. Her parents, although they weren't terribly thrilled about their young daughter having a child so early in life, were more than willing to help her out in anyway. Tragedy and complications struck, and sadly, she didn't make it through the birthing process.
From that point on, the raising process was delegated to Atticus's grandparents. They raised Atticus like he'd been their own child from the beginning, though, that wasn't the feeling he got from either of them. Even as a child, Atticus felt as though his grandparents resented him for taking away their daughter's life. If only he'd not been born, she might still be around. It was no secret to him that some of his grandparents' friends thought of him as an oddity and a tragic mistake. Growing up wasn't all together easy, but he did the best he could, keeping his chin held high. Throughout his life, he'd been told he was a spitting image of his mother in every possible way - this pleased him, and he was grateful for it. He has nothing to remind him of her, but he feels as though she's with him somehow.
Atticus found himself in quite a lot of trouble when he was younger. He spent a good portion of his time alone, but this didn't bother him much; he could entertain himself, and keep himself occupied. Once Atticus was old enough, he moved away from his childhood home to Asgard. The atmosphere was much less oppressive, and that was much more pleasurable to what he'd been used to. Once things settled a bit, Atticus found himself owning the Blue Moon Tavern. He loves working there, and he couldn't think of a better turnout for his life at this present moment. There is the issue of having designs on his barmaid, though.
