❀ Estel! did u like mah pun | Today was just another day on the forest floor. Meridell could be seen high above them, and even higher was the sweet sunny sky. Not even a single cloud, probably because of that recent storm. And Gideon was down here, all the way down as he picked adorably tiny little white flowers. This was just common work since he started working at the apothecary a year ago.
In his bag he only had the white flowers and some Rosemary. Estel probably knew what else had to be collected before going back to the boss. Honestly he seemed like the kind of old man who was really scary and Gideon didn't want to make him mad. "Estel?" the boy called out, as he tried making his way back to the place where he thought the other faerie was.

" Basil," Estel muttered. " Basil basil basil basil." Maybe if she said it enough, she'd remember what the leaves looked like. Frustrated, she picked her trowel out of her empty basket and flipped the basket up onto her head. The handle made it awfully like an uncomfortable sunhat. " I am the worst botanist ever," she groaned, hitting her forehead very lightly with the trowel. Gideon's voice snapped her out of her fit of self-pity, and she quickly took the basket off of her head. " Over here!" she yelled, and then stuck two fingers in her mouth to whistle loudly for good measure. ★ sorry for delayed response, life is busy!

❀ Estel! no prob, I get that sometimes too | Goodness he tripped! Gideon fell over with a soft thud onto loose dirty dirt. His basket spilled over and a lot of little plants rolled out. Good thing Estel didn't see that right? She would've probably freaked out or something. There was stinging in his knees, they were probably bleeding again. It happened a lot and he already had tiny scars there. "I am way too clumsy..." he said to himself.
After getting back up Gideon just followed her whistle over to some part of the forest that looked exactly like the rest of the forest. "Hey," he said in a casual way, as such that most people greet their friends. The boy knelt somewhere near her and looked in his basket. There was about a handful of chamomile and a bit more than that of rosemary.
"I got Chamomile and Rosemary," he said, tilting the basket slightly towards the older(and shorter) girl," What else do we need?" |

" Basil!" Estel proclaimed, leaning forward to look into the basket. Was what was in there chamomile or rosemary? His guess was as good at hers. Estel gave Gideon a thumbs-up and switched baskets with him, handing him the empty one. " Can you find any? I'm having trouble." In other words, she'd forgotten what it looked like, and this wouldn't be the first time. " I'll help take cuttings if you can find the plants!" It wouldn't be fair to make Gideon do all the work, after all. She was supposed to be the senior apothecary's apprentice. ★ uh huh.

❀ Estel! short post is really short | Estel probably forgot what Basil looked like. She was suppose to be the senior apothecary apprentice, but Gideon was better at remembering stuff in general. He let her take the basket from him like he was a coat rack and accepted the empty one easily.
"Of course!" he answered with that boyish-joy. The boy was always glad to do something for Estel, she was his friend after all. "Is that all? Ah, and do you have any bandages?" It would be better to have some, in case he got hurt. Which he did, a lot. |

" Giiiideon. What did you do now?" Narrowing her eyes, she removed her first-aid kit from her bag and passed over a small roll of bandages. " One day, you're gonna trip and fall off a cliff." Never mind that he'd be able to fly and it wouldn't be lethal. " Just you wait, I'm betting on it. One day. When you least expect it." Hopefully she wasn't making a prophecy right here. ★ she'd probably jump off the cliff to catch him too

❀ Estel! honestly...that's 2 cute >u< | Gideon couldn't help but giggle a little at Estel's comment. But since he could fly and all, falling off a cliff wouldn't be that bad right? And it wasn't like he would actually be careless enough to fall off a cliff......right? "Pfft, I only fell again. That's all!" he said in response.
Setting the basket down on the ground next to him he sat down, raising up his left knee. He took the roll of bandages to wrap that one, as best as he could, and then did the same with his right knee. When he was done he got up, and picked up the empty basket once more. "Okay, anything else we need?" he asked. |

Was there anything else besides basil? If Estel couldn't remember it now, Boss would have something to say about it. She did, however, remember him waving three fingers at her. Chamomile, rosemary, and basil, that was three, right? Either way, they'd find out when they got back. " Just basil," she proclaimed, giving Gideon a thumbs-up. " ...maybe one day we oughta get you a helmet to wear." ★ ~

| Okay there was only one more left for him to get . It couldn't be too hard to find some basil couldn't it? Now that the boy thought about it he just might have seen some earlier when searching for other things.
"Okay, got it!" he said, giving a thumbs up in return. Mutual thumbs up poses were cool. "Hehe, I'll be fine, promise." |

" If you promise to be fine, then you'd better stay fine. Don't wanna break a promise by accident." It couldn't hurt to help out, even if she wasn't sure what she was looking for, so Estel started searching amongst the plants. Something shiny and definitely not a plant caught her eye. Blinking, Estel went over to poke around in the dirt, just in case she'd found buried treasure. It wasn't buried treasure. It wasn't even buried. It was a single spoon. Shrugging, Estel picked up the spoon and began to shine it on her sleeve, quickly going to catch up with Gideon. ★ ~
