Here, in the world of shinobi, the concept of a collapse seemed impossible. For as long as they have lived, ninjas have always been the most powerful beings alive. How could it be, that these men of such great potential, could ever fade away? New generations would always take the place of the elder. It would be a never ending cycle. So long as the knowledge was passed along, then everything would continue with the flow.
Yet, not everything goes according to plan. Centuries ago, the previous villages that were the foundation of the ninja world vanished. It wasn't some big war that wiped them out. Everything just became....quiet. Villages lost contact with one another. Many disbanded, and ninjas became nomads that traveled from place to place. Soon, these ninjas meet their ends through different means. With no one left to teach the newer generations, the shinobi fell into mystery. Years rolled by.
Empires rose in the place of villages, yet they never seemed to fill the void the shinobi had left behind. Wars were fought in a never ending power struggle to fill the place. Soldiers ragged and demolished the land. What had once been vast forests were reduced to stretches of empty land. It seemed like the world was slowly fading in and out of darkness.
Then, something strange happened. Konohagakure, a village that had housed ninjas centuries ago, was suddenly becoming repopulated again. Slowly, but surely, signs of a return emerged. As to how this began to happen, nobody knows. There were rumors of a man who traveled the land, believed to be the reincarnation of the Sage of Six Paths. It's foretold that this man trained the newly instated Hokage, allowing for the ninja world to be reborn once again.
The Villages are just starting up again each of them becoming superpowers. But tension are getting thick, war seems inevitable. Who will come out ahead?
