Aiden isn't one to do what he is told. He doesn't like being what others want him to do. He as a problem with authority and would much rather go his own way. He is more likely to do something considered bad rather than doing something good. He is very selfish and yet even with his rebellious nature, he has a soft side for those that aren't.
He has a kind-heart underneath it all and he will help you out but he won't do it without sprinkling in complaints and asking what he is getting from helping you. He will demand some kind of payment for helping you to cover the fact that he has a kind heart. He is easily annoyed and easily angered. When he gets angry, he will get even louder than usual.

history
Aiden's mother was a half breed of human and elf and his father a full elf. His mother raised him in a secluded part of the forest called Avalon. She had a weak constitution and easily contracted illnesses so it was deemed in her est interest to live away from the city. Her husband would bring provisions as often as he could but he was also an elven aristocrat and found himself more busy then he would like. So most of the time it was just Aiden and his mother.
He grew up in nature and he enjoyed the freedom of it. His mother wasn't very demanding, a kind soul in every sense of the word. His father was the exact opposite. He demanded obedience which didn't sit well with his rebellious son. Aiden began avoiding home at the first sign that his father was on his way, taking to the woods and napping in a tree.
His mother didn't like this and tried her best to get the two to common ground but it usually ended in his father demanding complete obedience and Aiden taking off yet again. That all changed when he was 33 and his mother caught a very bad illness. She died of the sickness after a few weeks. His father didn't arrive until after Aiden had sent him a letter about her passing.
His father came and didn't even ask to see her grave only that Aiden should pack his bags and come along. He rebelled against his father at this, demanding how he could not come be by her side when she was sick. His father didn't reply and Aiden did pack his bags, and left his father behind.
He was on the next boat to Ilusia and didn't look back. Now, he makes a living by doing odd jobs. He isn't exactly sure what he is looking for but he knows that he doesn't want to go back.
