CHARLIE
Aiden strolled down the Black Rose Walkway. He wasn't looking in any windows so anyone could see he wasn't window shopping. Not that many people were shopping now as the sun was setting in the distance. It had been a hot day so to see the sun retreating brought instant relief. He could tell the night would be cold since the breezes were already starting to give him goosebumps. His sensitivity to temperature was starting to bother him. He didn't like the sudden difference and found himself walking into the first establishment he could find.
That just happened to be the Blue Moon Tavern. He hadn't visited this place before. Actually, now that he thought about it, he had never een to a tavern before and his first step into the place left a lot to be desired. A drunk man rambling on about something bumped into him, and was about to say something unfriendly when he noticed he'd bumped into a man that towered over him and was obviously an elf. He bit back his words and scurried past him into the approaching night.
Someone had been hitting the drinks a bit early. Or maybe they just had no tolerance. Aiden let out a frustrated sigh before he went to the bar to get away from the cooling air of the night. Hopefully getting something alcoholic would get him warm enough to make the walk back to his room at the inn.
With that goal in mind, Aiden sat at the bar and whistled towards the bartender. The man glared at how he was called and dealt with another customer before he approached Aiden. Aiden made a mental note to burn something before he left and to not leave a tip. He asked for the strongest and cheapest stuff he had. The man nearly slammed the glass down on the counter before proceeding to pour something into the cup and pushing it his way before holding out his hand.
Aiden dropped the money on the counter top before taking the drink and walking over to an abandoned table. He took a big gulp and instantly regretted it. The alcohol burned down his throat, making his eyes water. He really hadn't known what he was asking for had he?
