❀ Wynter! omg please pm me if this is bad or not to your level because then i'll change/improve it | It was Gideon's first time out on deliveries. The boy didn't really know exactly what he was delivering but the apothecary boss said he was to give the boxes he had to the people on the list, to the homes written down on the list. With permission from his brother Gideon was able to go out to do these favors. Like the boss couldn't do it himself, really, send a thirteen year old boy? What if he got attacked by bandits? His boss said he would be perfectly fine, with no worry at all! Gideon was still nervous though.
And he indeed had a right to be nervous. Because Gideon's horse had just trampled one of the packages he was suppose to deliver to Asgard. It was an accident! Coffee Cutie, his horse's name, was just trotting along and then one dropped out of the bag on her side and then...well ya. Quickly after hearing the low pitched crunching noise Gideon pulled over to the side of the road. Oh gosh what was he to do, how would he fix this? He shook the box and it sounded like broken glass and sand. There was also something else in there, maybe they were like those little bottles filled with medicine as he saw in the apothecary shelves?
"Aaagh I told them I would mess up!" he told the surrounding area, so angrily that the normally quiet boy was almost yelling. Opening the box revealed one broken bottle spilling out rainbow-colored sands and the other perfectly well and pear-shaped and not broken. Every so foolishly Gideon tried to pick up a piece to look at, because maybe he could fix it, but instead he just got cut. But his mind was too busy thinking of how to handle it instead of the blood dripping out of his body. Coffee Cutie neighed close to him, which he didn't look at so he could keep his attention at the trampled gift(? maybe?) in front of him.

The sun was bright and warm. The day had passed like it always had, mornings spent taking care of the inn and doing chores. With everything finished and lessons with his father complete, he had decided to take a walk. The sunny afternoon was a perfect opportunity to clear his head, and would serve as a bit of exercise that was both enjoyable and relaxing. The dirt road through the fields had been taken for a little change of pace. A bag containing water and some lunch for himself hung off one shoulder. The slight spring breeze that blew by ruffled the grass and his bangs, causing him to smile. It gave him plenty of time to think of what to do for the upcoming festival. A vague idea was already in mind, though he had yet to choose how to go about it. The walk would help him get his thoughts straight and gave a little extra vigor. The sound of someone yelling out had his attention before he even saw who had made it. Moving toward it with more than a bit of curiosity and a bit of concern, Wynter continued on a few more paces until the one responsible was spotted. "Are you okay?" The sight of the broken bottle and trampled packages didn't take it long to figure out what had happened. Smiling, the inn keeper's son knelt, pulling his handkerchief out of his pants pocket and holding out his hand for the injured one. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure this can be taken care of. Here, let me help you."★ gideon ★ why wouldn't this be good enough? It's good!

❀ Wynter Shea! i don't know...but i'm glad you think it's good ^^ | Everything would be perfectly fine. The package in Gideon's hands seemed to be the only one that was trampled AND broken, the others were just trampled. Surely the boy would be able to find out how to straighten out the boxes for a better presentation to the people he was suppose to deliver them to. His bad mood also totally contradicted the good weather that there was. It was sunny and the temperature was not too hot or too cold. But Gideon felt like the feeling of worry made him absolutely scorching.
Then there was a man in front of him. He looked like an adult, but he wasn't old. Oh! Maybe he just heard his yelling and decided to check it out. The man didn't even look like he could be a bandit. He seemed like the opposite of one really, with him offering to help him afterall. But little Gideon did not know how he would be able to help since the small bottle was already broken. The dust that was previously inside still looked very pretty with broken shards of glass laying throughout it. Wasn't it a bit too late to be taken care of?
"Yes, I'm okay for the most part," the boy replied. He made some eye contact with him, then looked down at his handkerchief. Gideon didn't really want to ruin it, even if he was bleeding. Shooing it away with the bleeding hand he continued to talk," And I don't know how this could be taken care of or helped to be honest...." |

The boy shooing his hand away gave him the perfect opportunity. As soon is it was in reach, Wynter caught the hand with his other, holding onto the wrist to keep it still. It didn't really surprise him that he tried to pull away. Kids acted stubborn about that kind of thing all the time. "Sure, it can. You just have to be a bit more creative about the solution." After making sure there wasn't any glass left inside the cut, he carefully cleaned the injury. Some of the water in the canteen he had been carrying was poured over it as well to clean it before the handkerchief was wrapped the boy's hand and tied neatly. It was firm enough so it would stop the bleeding, yet not enough so that it would hurt. "There, that's better. How's that feel?" He grinned as he pulled back, finally releasing the boy. Now that that was taken care of... Looking back to the package, Wynter pulled the one with the broken contents closer. "So where were you taking these to? What were they for?" Pausing, Wynter looked up at the boy. "My name's Wynter. What's yours?"★ gideon ★ my net shut off five times when writing this </3

❀ Wynter Shea! I am. SO. sorry about posting late. | A stranger was grabbing his hand? Well it was certainly a great surprise to the upset and hurt young man. Gideon thought that it was best to not fight back, mostly because he was weak and it was likely that he would not win.
Now he wondered what the other had in mind for a solution. Because, how could one fix something that was completely broken? The boss back at the apothecary told him that using magic was suppose to be creative. Gideon didn't really know how to be creative, or how to even identify when he was being "creative". This the boy did wonder to pass the time while the other took care of his hand. The bandages wrapped around his palm and fingers were tight, but not too tight. When he moved his hand it stung of course but not so much.
"It feels a lot better, thanks!" Gideon replied, the bandages actually looked pretty cool, despite the clumsy accident in which they were caused from. "My boss said that these were suppose to be a gift to a dear friend of his in Asgard. He didn't really tell me much about it, he looked somewhat embarrassed when I asked him about it and I didn't really press on so....So do you really think we can fix it?" he asked, with much doubt of course. It seemed impossible.
"And my name is Gideon, nice to meet you Wynter."

"Nice to meet you too." That was a unique name. He'd heard his fair share with the people that came and went from the inn. If he was coming down this road, then... was he from the woods? Meridell? "And of course, I do."Standing up and brushing the dust from the road off of his pants, Wynter carefully picked up the package with the broken glass and scattered sand. Looking around, a nearby tree was picked as the perfect spot. The rest of the packages were put back on the horse, motioning over to the tree in question with a smile still of his features. "Let's sit over there for a bit. It'll make things easier." The horse would be able to graze in the grass while they worked. Making his way over, Wynter sat against the base of the tree with his back resting against the trunk. "Let's see now..."He was known for his perfectionist ways, and for once they came in handy. After examining one piece of the broken glass, he set to piecing it back together as if it was a puzzle, fitting the fragments back together. He worked quickly, making sure not to cut himself on the sharp edges as the bottle was slowly reconstructed. "Does this look about right?" Grinning to himself, the brunette held the makeshift bottle back in his hand. Aside from the cracks and lines now in it, it appeared as a perfect replica of what had once been a whole product. "I might have something this shape with me we can use."★ gideon ★ no worries at all~
