BENIGN NOMAD
RINGO SHIRO TWENTY WINTER WANDERER | HETEROSEXUAL FIVE FEET AND EIGHT INCHES HUMAN SAGITTARIUS |
personality
Due to Ringo's background, he is a very open minded individual. He will often sit down and listen what one would have to say rather than leap to his own conclusions. If he ever does he is polite enough to apologize for it. This leads to a rather accepting and benevolent nature to him as he will often treat others with formality and kindness upon meeting him.
That isn't to say that doesn't come with its own negatives. Ringo can come off as over protective which, depending on the situation, can do more harm than good even though in Ringo's mind he is just preparing for the worst and keeping others out of danger. On the other hand, despite the boy's own amount of preparation when it comes to dangerous situations, he is reckless to his own safety. The sad part is he doesn't seem to realize all too much what that would mean for those that care about him.
Despite all of Ringo's kindness, he is what one may call sensitive and as such if someone makes light of issues such as death then that is one of few ways to trigger a negative (or at worst angry) response from him. Though it is to be noted that once he is angered he is hard to calm down. Thankfully he is reasonable enough to often excuse himself but anger has always had a thing for being blocking out reason.

history
Ringo was born to a simple Romuda rice farmer and the daughter of a family of run aways from another country who apparently wanted to get away from some war. There was a bit of a language barrier but over time they learned each others ways and fell in love. They had a child on the winter of their second year of marriage.
The boy grew up to be naturally curious. He would love to wander the fields and grew up on the stories of his mother's home land. He would love to traverse the island he lived on hoping to discover things. Thankfully his parents were able to contain his tendencies and prevent him from exploring out during the night. He was just a child after all, not someone who can fend for them self.
Ringo continued to live life peacefully for the most part. He partook his school and helped his father out with his farming. His life was for the most part was typical of Romuda citizens until he ran into a girl named Ai. The two met, got along fine, and became friends. A typical story until Ai started to be afflicted with a severe illness. Due to the fact that the local doctors couldn't do anything about it, Ringo set out and explored the rest of Romuda in hopes of finding a cure or at least someone that could help.
He returned unsuccessful and scolded due to the fact that he ran away and was missing for a few months. The fact that he didn't tell anyone except Ai he was leaving didn't make anything better. Worst of all to Ringo is that the only thing he could return to Ai is a journal and notes about the various places he traveled to. They spent the next few days talking about his travels. It was the least Ringo could do. One morning, he awoke to see that she passed away.
It took about a year for Ringo to openly get over the grief. He spent those days as a farmer, not really speaking much to anyone. His mother read through the various things that Ringo has written down and come to an idea. She would let Ringo go out and see the world. He was always curious about her home country and she heard the war is over. Plus if things do go wrong, Ringo is taught self defense so he should be fine.
With his parents (preferably because they actually know he is going off on his own) Ringo headed off to traverse the land. With a backpack of supplies and a journal to record his findings, he went off to explore the rest of Ilusia. He would spend the next years of his life wandering around, surviving by doing jobs here and there, and encountering his fair share of danger as he traveled and had many a story or two to tell the people back home.
