So this is a little game...discussion.....thing.....that I've been thinking about for some time. We all loved certain things as kids right? Turn around 15 years later and suddenly you realize that maybe those moments weren't so innocent after all. This is a place where you can discuss moments where you've looked back at a movie, song, show or book...or heck anything that you loved as a child, and you just go..."WTF was up with my childhood!?" I'll kick it off with one I discovered recently. It's a song from this one kinda obscure movie called "The Brave Little Toaster", a film that scared me shitless as a child, yet....for some reason I watched it all the time. Honestly I could point out the entire movie as being a "WTF" moment, but I will just highlight one song. Here, take a listen......Isn't that just the happiest song a child could listen to? I mean...it's not just the words, it's not just the fact that cars are getting crushed to death while we are bombarded with subtle imagery, it's the last car, the green one -- that escapes the magnet and DRIVES ITS WAY TO DEATH. So I watched a suicidal car kill itself when I was -- what, six? WHAT. ...That said the movie itself was basically Toy Story but depressing as hell....so I'm not all too surprised that the imagery of suicide was there. ....So yeah, that is my moment of WTF from my childhood. So, what other crazy things have YOU discovered about YOUR childhood?

I couldn't find a decent video for this (I didn't look that long, but still) so have this one - From the King of Orgasmic VoicesI mean, seriously. This movie is amazing and all, one I love still, and just... this song. Those sounds and that tone. Okay, Tim Curry. You can totally destroy the rain forest if you keep talking to me in that sensual tone. So maybe this isn't a terrible one. Still! It deserves some mention.
