...right, because he had absolutely nothing better to do than show this guy around Ilusia. Wonderful. He couldn't think of an actual argument, though, and it wasn't as though he actually had time to before the Royal Brat disappeared.
Oh, yeah, this was going to be fun. Well, Windsor could deal while he finished the things he needed to do before playing tour guide. Namely, he needed to leave a note about the luggage, which he moved behind the counter where Wynter or Holly would definitely see it when they passed by in the next few minutes, and he needed to take the note about the Goddamn Tea Times to the kitchen so that they'd have a reference. Happily, this didn't take very long at all, and he doubted that the knight would have a problem with him ensuring that the Royal Brat's things were tended to before they began.
"I've always had a fondness for working with weaponry, despite the fact that Ilusia is an extremely peaceful place." It was the knowledge of weaponry that would keep it peaceful, after all. As they walked, he glanced over at Adell, sizing him up. Yeah, this guy could kick his ass in a fight, no question. He may have had extensive training himself, but this guy had something you couldn't fake and no training could make up for: experience. "The inn is only really busy during the warmer seasons, so we'll start getting guests soon, but it's not really because of that. Wynter will be taking it over one day and running it with his family, when he gets married, so the sooner that I learn a new trade the better. I only work part-time at the forge during the busy season, though."
Right, right, tour. Pointing, he said, "This street we're on is Black Rose Walkway. Pretty much all of the shops are around here. There's a tavern that's open in the evenings and a cafe which has food almost as good as ours; the cafe owner, Ciella, is pretty young, but she's good at her job. The general store is the best place to go if you're just in need of basic goods, but Murphy's likely to keep you there for an hour talking if you let him. The forge is down that way, too. If you keep going, you'll find the park and Carmine School, and past that is Rosemary Lanes, which is the actual housing district." Pointing back, he said, "There's also the beach, of course, but since you came on a boat you already know that. There are a lot of merpeople that come up near the beach and they're pretty touchy about their territory."
Looking around for a moment, he pointed off towards the trees. "That's the Whispering Woods, or at least the beginning of it. You can find Memorial Garden in there, which is where a lot of festivals happen. We meet there with people from Volos, which is up in Fairmist Mountain over that way, and Meridell, which is much, much deeper in the woods. From here, it would take about two days on foot to reach Volos and three days to reach Meridell, if you're planning on leaving Asgard at any point." ...and those were all of the basics he could come up with.
