Murphy is hard working fellow, whatever is asked of him, he does it. Whatever he works on, he tries his hardest to make sure that it's done right with as few complications as possible. Being a shop owner, there are bound to be bumps in the way, so when those bumps are found, it's his job to work out the problem with his head secured tightly on his shoulders. He feels that there's no need for unnecessary fretting about things that can be fixed. The pieces just need to be picked up and put back. He has, however, been known to be a self-critical of himself if he's failed at completing a task, or something messes up.
As intimidating as his tall stature can be, Murphy's quite kind. He enjoys and is eager about helping people out, and doesn't ask for anything in return, but he will take help if it's offered. As a general rule, Murphy's usually found with a smile on his face, and is happy about most things. It's hard to dampen Murphy's spirit. He's very easy to get along with, but in a few situations he can be a bit awkward. When romance is thrown int the mix, the awkward is even worse. He usually has a hard time keeping himself composed in a semi-dignified manner around Ciella. Like many others, Murphy can get angry about things when the temper scale is tipped, but he's able to manage it, quite thankfully, too. Murphy's relatively forgiving, and he doesn't mind giving people second chances, sometimes even third chances. However, when those second or third chances are being taken for granted and misused, that's when the trust meter begins to run low.

Murphy was born second and ultimately last into the Rhieder family. He was raised in a happy and healthy home, he couldn't have been more comfortable. His parents always stood behind him one-hundred-percent no matter what he decide to do, no matter what path he chose to take. Needless to say, being ten years younger than his brother, it was no surprise that they didn't spend much time together. But as Murphy grew older, the two began to spend more time together, ultimately growing closer. This, of course, thrilled their parents to no end.
The older Murphy grew, the more he realized that he wanted to own and man his own shop. Unable to really decide on what sort of shop to open, he finally settled and decided on a general store. That being the case, he would be able to help out people in many different ways, and there was nothing greater than that. The work was hard, and it certainly wasn't an easy path to take in the beginning, but once it was all said and done, the feeling of accomplishment was overpowering. Having a family as supportive as his, he was easily able to achieve his dream and open up a general store - Thymeless General Store - from pretty early on in his life.
Once the store really started to take off and was doing well, Murphy moved out and above the store. Without having to travel from one place to the next, it certainly made things a lot easier. He's happy with his job, and the money that he makes. He does well for himself, so he's able to go out and splurge every once in a while. During this time, he met Ciella, the cafe owner. She quite cute, but he's never really worked up the courage to actually strike up a conversation with her. Hellos and the weather are perfectly good topics of small chats.
