Silas is an interesting character, to say in the least. There's a huge imbalance of the good and bad, and we'll start with the first given. As far as good goes, it is indeed hard to find any such traits. However, one thing you will find about Silas is he is a very social male. He loves nothing more than people- even if he is social for the wrong reasons. Silas is also very charming, when he chooses to be. This contributes more to the social aspect of his personality. He also is a deceiver- he has exceptional manipulative abilities, and will use any means necessary to get what he wants. This makes him a dangerous man. He knows how to use any given situation to his advantage, as well as appropriate reactions to gain his desired effect.
Now- Silas is a dick, put quite simply. He has no regard for others emotions, and will use them however he can. He has no real values, making him appear heartless. He doesn't know boundaries, and doesn't care for them either. He believes in nothing but what is beneficial to him, because he is a selfish man. Silas often lets his arrogance take over, as well as his pride. He truly think's he is better than everyone. Very rarely will he accept someone being his equal. He is cocky and believes he can do anything, which often gets him into trouble- all the more reason for him to be who he is. Silas is a narcissist- meaning he is completely in love with himself. Silas is capable, don't take that for granted. His confidence in his ability really defines who he is, as he refuses to ever give in. Even if he were at the doors of death, he could continue. He has a very mocking, taunting personality as well as all this. This normally gives him two types of relationships- you either are a close friend, or an enemy. There is no in between. However, Silas does have the nasty tenancy of flirting with everyone. Don't let this deceive you though- he really is a black and white type of person, with the heart of a demon.

Silas' mother was a whore, his father someone wanting a little pleasure for a night. Silas' mom was a prostitute in a brothel in a small town not many stayed in. However, travellers would always stop to view the lovely ladies. Silas was the result of a willing woman and a hungry man. His mother was heartbroken to figure out she was pregnant, as a mother's life was not hers. After the birth, she stopped a traveller on the road and asked him to take her child. He took it, and Silas' mother never looked back once.
This man's name was Gavin. He took Silas to a place called Fairmist Mountain, a region Silas has grown to love. Gavin, despite being a total stranger to Silas' mother, was a better parent than anyone Silas could ever know. Gavin provided a home, food, and even training. It took awhile for Gavin to open up, and Silas was young when he told him about his mother. Gavin was a strong man who worked in the forests of the mountain as a paid missionary, doing whatever people would ask of him. Silas grew up around these things. He became fit at a young age, and very capable. He followed Gavin's every example- he cut wood, he hunted animals. Sometimes, though, Gavin wouldn't let Silas go with him. . Gavin had the same personality as Silas, except he was a bit more compassionate. Silas took after every trait.
Silas figured out why Gavin wouldn't let him go with him sometimes. It was because he was paid to murder people. This was scary, but also inspiring. Silas wanted to do the same thing as Gavin, he always had.
He was 15 when Gavin died on duty. It was the most emotionally devastating thing Silas had ever experienced. He didn't know what to do on his own. However- he is capable. Silas took care of himself for 3 full years, and trained his body to be the best. At the age of 18, Silas committed his first murder, to avenge his fallen father. After this, Silas decided he would do that for the rest of his life- be a paid missionary as his adoptive father was. Time has caught up with itself, and Silas lives alone in the Volos region. He is known for being a pest, as he is a thief, a murderer, and many more- the best part being no one actually knows his face.
