CHARLES L. EDEN TWO HUNDRED AND TEN WINTER N/A | PANSEXUAL SIX FOOT TWO FAIRY Pisces |
personality
Charles is an extremely kind and generous individual, with strong moral values and a grand sense of justice to boot. He is unlikely to turn away those who are suffering if he deems them of good moral standing, and often bestows charitable deeds upon those in society who need it the most. His kind spirit should not be confused with naïveté, however; Charles is wise and intelligent, and often can deduce whether another seeks to take advantage of his goodwill. He is often a voice of reason and calm for others, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, and a giver of sage advice.
Charles has a strong belief in bonds, particularly familial and racial. As such, he is extremely welcoming towards most anyone, offering the benefit of the doubt towards any possible ill will they may possess. Should, however, his grace be returned with ill manners and threats, he will not hesitate to remove them; family has no room for evil, after all. He will usually give a fair trial to any such individual however, as it is not right to judge immediately in his eyes. But, upon the deeming of "evil" in his eyes, he can go from his usual gentleness to a viciously passive-aggressive and cunning enemy.
Despite all his boasts of goodness and shows of generosity, there is a hidden-away part of Charles, a part that he refuses to acknowledge. He is self-obsessed; his goal must be obtained and he must be the one to achieve them. He must appear good at all times. He is, in fact, a selfish, manipulative, power-hungry and narrow-minded individual, one in permanent denial of this fact. He will always use the excuse that he is acting on behalf of Justice and the goodness of the world.

history
Charles Leopold Eden was a mistake, an accident, an abomination no woman would wish to keep; and yet, because of one woman's conscious choice to bear the burden, the young fae came to be. Yes, he was an accident, but in the eyes of his mother, it was destiny. The boy bore uncommon dark hair and, even at a young age, had an extremely firm sense of justice and self-assurance. He was loved by his mother dearly, and though she had little to give, she tried her best to provide for the child and give him a loving home. And yet, despite the joy his mother showed him and the happiness the two shared together, the young fae saw the darkness in the world, a foul ink that stained their pretty lives. He saw the hardships his mother faced, her scorn from others and the way they whispered about her; he saw the conflicts on both individual and racial bases; the world was rotten and cruel to the downtrodden, and heavenly to the vile.
Charles was a scholar, a philosopher, even in his youth -- he considered himself to be born for a sole purpose: to deliver unto the world a true Utopia. In his own eyes, he was the embodiment of Good, and would be the one to spread this great goodness throughout. Over the years, Charles witnessed the many terrors of the sentient, terrors that only further solidified his purpose. Truly, with so much violence and hate-crime and fear abound, the world was a terrible place in need of cleansing. That desire stuck with him even through his mother's eventual passing, where upon her final days she begged him to follow his dreams. For her, he would seek to gain the power he needed to create their Perfect World, and do his best to stamp out those who went against Justice and all that was good. Together they would make a Utopia.
