Perhaps I might have to sweep the lady off her feet and show her more outside Asgard so that she might not have to worry about such stresses so often? Oh, would he really take her out outside of Asgard? She was already getting excited about a trip that she might go with him soon. But her brother, she wasn’t sure how she was going to explain this to him. While she enjoyed dancing, she couldn’t help but want to listen to Lance’s playing of the lute. ”I’d really like it if you could play your lute for me. Why don’t we sit down someplace quiet and you can play it for me?” Maelynn loved listening to music, especially when her younger brother played the piano during the weekends or when he was’t working at the café. ★ lance, open ★ ~

It seemed that the male had backed off from Rhiannon quickly enough. Her gaze continued to remain cold as she watched him turn his attention towards a red haired woman. Cassandra did not care as long as he stayed far away from her twin. Assuming that she wished to be manhandled in such a way by a complete stranger was preposterous! She bit back a scowl before giving a pleasant smile to this other male that had come over to apologize. “You need not be sorry for the actions of another. I see he has found another to bother, so we shall be moving on. Have a nice evening,” she remarked with a small curtsy. Good manners never seemed to leave her entirely. Cassandra slid her arm from her twin’s with a slight smile before looking back over the crowd. Her sister should be alright by herself for now. “If anyone else happens to bother you, then look for me. I shall set them straight. For now, I want to see what these stands offer.” Surely it would be of little harm to see what she could purchase before returning to the swings. Cassandra did wave towards the man she had conversed with earlier, and he could follow her if he wanted to. Her slim form disappeared back into the crowd as her eyes took in the stalls and items on display. Jewelry, stuffed animals, food, and even clothing. She did stop by a small stand with rings for sale. Gleaming gemstones blinked up at her temptingly, and she let her fingers trace over a few. Cassandra preferred the silver bands compared to gold. Perhaps she could find one that would go with the amethyst pendant against her neck. ★ Open ★ Moving Cassie along~!

HERE I SIT UPON THE INVISIBLE THRONE
"As the lady wishes," he offered with a light bow, even then retaining one of Maelynn's hands in one of his own. So far, things were most certainly going well, and he could practically feel some jealous stares. Call it intuition, if one will, living as a slave and then a thief and always, always having to worry about something.
And as for the present situation, well... if he were to be honest (he wouldn't), it was largely just screwing around, screwing with those prospective suitors of the lovely waitress and letting them seethe. More than that... who knew? Few, if any, could ever pretend to understand the motives of the King of Thieves, after all.
"This way, then; I've hidden it away enough that nobody would hopefully find it, least of all take it or do it any harm. It is the only one I have, after all," he spoke, granting a cheerful smile as he began to lead the girl toward that spot he'd hidden it away.
Well, partly. More specifically, he started in one direction that wasn't quite the right way such that that steadily growing line of people came into the path he and Maelynn had already passed not long after, but long enough for them not to be sucked into it. Better yet, it put the line between them and the girl's brother himself, enough so that he'd have to work to note the light change in direction Lance imposed upon such a visual shield arriving. Let none say the King of Thieves was any sort of fool; if the brother wished to follow, he'd have to work at least a little for it.
Even with that, it didn't take particularly long to arrive where he'd stashed his lute away, a short ways away from the festival ground in general but still in the Memorial Garden on the whole. Away from everyone else in general, at that; so his nose told him, and that was perfect.
"And here it indeed is, safe and sound. If you'd like to sit and enjoy, all the better for now, perhaps; and I hope you'll forgive me if I'm not a singer to add to it," he offered, chuckling lightly. Taking up his lute in one hand for now and lowering himself to a seat against the tree he'd hid the instrument by, patting with his free hand a spot to sit next to him. Whatever she chose to do, so he began to play shortly thereafter, a gentle, perhaps even cheerful, melody, one of many he'd picked up in his... far less happy days, of which he didn't show the slightest hint of.
Yes, this wasn't turning out to be a bad festival at all thus far.

The fact that Xara, at least, seemed so readily available to join in with the bouncing that barely resembled an actual dance worked wonders. By the looks of it she grabbed on to a tall figure with orange hair was well - perfect! But... but... it wasn't enough. No, no, they needed more people. Many more people. Heck, even the bard was dancing around with them now! Without thinking of it more, he released Tempest and Xara's hands, trying to get them to hold each other instead for the moment. There were a number of other targets he wanted to get involved with this too and he wouldn't make much progress by just standing around. The stranger in a traveler's cloak who had been speaking to the pretty blonde girl, the pretty blonde girl herself, the other pretty blonde girl he had been speaking to... With any luck, he'd be able to pull the three of them into the chain easily. Hm, the one pretty blonde girl was looking at jewelry now, so maybe it would be better to leave the three of them alone. He didn't want to step on any more feet. A beastman with a lute, a girl near him... two guys chatting and looking really into each other... others departing, others joining... ha! There! A blonde beastwoman speaking to a brown-haired man worked well. Without asking (this was going to get him punched one day), he wrapped both arms around her waist and hauled her over with him a short distance, then deposited her on the ground so he could hold her hand while bouncing. "Speed it up!" Yes, yes, now as long as no one tripped...~ ★ festival ★ needs more power! more power!

“If anyone else happens to bother you, then look for me. I shall set them straight. For now, I want to see what these stands offer.” The girl slid her arm from her sister now that the man has left her alone. Ringo wasn't sure if he should leave the man be but his black haired companion seem to be his safety net of sorts. Ringo decided not to mind the issue any further. She turned and waved towards Ringo. He smiled and took this as a signal to follow. He took the white rose and carried the flower so as to not damage it. Ringo managed to catch up to her, placing the flower's stem in his coat pocket. He looked around at the stands. He was interested in some of the food he admitted and he had some money from the last few jobs he had. Ringo dug for his coin case before looking over at Cassandra looking at some rings. Accessories...those were never really on the front of Ringo's mind. He never really had the money for them. Besides some of these are kind of pricy. "Oh..." Ringo realized something and did a slight bow to Cassandra. He couldn't do a large one due to the number of people here so he hoped this was good enough. "I failed to introduce myself earlier. I'm Ringo Shiro, it's nice to meet you." He gave Cassandra a pleasant smile as he introduced himself.

Cassandra knew she should not spend too much, but splurging on one piece of jewelry could not hurt. She had to get one for Rhiannon as well, though! Matching rings as a gift for the both of them. Her sister already wore a bring from their father, but it would be nice to give her one as well. Blue eyes flickered over the various bands before she settled on two that appeared to be white gold. The metal had been cast to resemble two interlocking flowers with amethysts and diamonds glittering back up at her to resemble the petals. Cassandra was surprised to see two of the same rings, and she wondered if they were meant to be a set. It certainly reminded her of her bond with Rhiannon with the connecting flowers. She glanced over her shoulder to look at the now introduced Ringo. It was not his fault, since she had not introduced herself either. “No need to apologize. It is nice to meet you, Ringo. My name is Cassandra,” she replied with a slight curtsy. It was always nice to speak with someone new. This festival certainly provided one with a myriad of interesting company. Cassandra would have to try and mingle more with the others. As long as she stayed far enough away from that handsy man. It seemed he was already moving onto his next victims for some sort of chain. She snorted to herself before looking back to the vendor. “I will take both of these rings.” Cassandra reached beneath her cloak to pull out a small bag that rattled with coins. The rings were placed in a small box and handed over to her. She paid the correct amount and tucked the coin pouch and the ring box within the pockets of her cloak. Hopefully her sister would like the ring. ★ Ringo/Open ★ Moving Cassie along~!

She was very grateful for the intervention of her sister. Cassandra had gracefully toted her away from her rather rude companion, and to that, Rhiannon gave a relieved sigh. Being deposited by the swings would be a rather safe place for her to be. Rhiannon nodded to her sister as she told her to find her again if someone else were to bother her. Hopefully such a situation would not occur again. It seemed Elwyn had already found another, and Rhiannon sighed again. She watched with a slight smile as her sister departed from her again. She had already walked past the stands, and not much had piqued her interest, so for now, she sat on the swing and gently hummed to herself as she swayed softly. ★ open ★ woops sorry if i held you back mjrn ;o;

“No need to apologize. It is nice to meet you, Ringo. My name is Cassandra,” The blonde lady curtseyed in response to Ringo's greeting and bow. She looked back over the store and seemed to have decided on something. “I will take both of these rings.” Two rings? Ringo assumed it might be a gift for herself and her sister. She paid her coins while Ringo looked around the stands. Ringo looked at her and then back over at the swings where Cassandra's sister is. He started to dig through his pants pocket for a small bag of coins and such. "Hey um...what do you and your sister like to eat?" Ringo might as well treat them the best he can since they're going to be his company for this festival. Besides, they say festival food is always great, especially with company.

Cassandra had noticed that Rhiannon had walked over to the swings a safe distance away from the revelry. Her lips curled into a slight smile, but she wanted to lure her twin into the celebration at some point. Certainly not towards the handsy male, though. He would not bother them again, but it never hurt to make sure. Other than that, she was enjoying herself so far. The rings were safely tucked away to present to her twin later on and Ringo was pleasant to converse with. He seemed somewhat shy and hesitant with what to do with himself, but that was not a bad thing. Hopefully he would relax as the evening went on. Festivals should be enjoyed and reveled in despite being hesitant in a crowd of strangers. “Oh, you do not need to trouble yourself, but I suppose funnel cake would be hard to refuse,” she replied with a slight smile. It was sweet of him to offer and she chose something that would not cost too much. “Thank you, Ringo. I shall meet you back over by the swings.” Cassandra smiled again before making her way towards where she had dropped her sister off. Her former perch was still free, and she slid onto the swing beside Rhiannon’s. Now would be a good time to present the ring to her. The three of them might become separated later on and she wanted to cheer her twin up from that earlier predicament. “I bought something for us. I found two rings at one of the stands and thought they fit us well,” she said while presenting one of the ring boxes to Rhiannon. Her attention turned to her own before taking the delicate ring out and sliding it onto her ring finger. The gemstone gleamed back at her as a match to the amethyst pendant she wore.

As it turned out, his evasion skills left something to be desired. He did not expect them to approach him and was unprepared to react properly. Caught between wanting to flee and not wanting to mess up what they were doing (even if it was somewhat disruptive), he hesitated and allowed Xara to take his arm. "Uh," People snake. Goodness, she and the princess both had certainly forgotten their etiquette here. On second thought, he could hardly blame them. Here in Asgard, they were less likely to be caught by the disapproving glance of Heimite politics. His continued adherence to certain rules was a personal choice. Consequentially, he was no good at things like this, and he ended up clutching her arm in an attempt to keep himself balanced. This too was a failed endeavor as he stumbled and nearly fell, though he managed to regain his footing before he took the others down with him… by grabbing the arm of someone he hadn't even seen properly. "Ah, I am sorry!" ★ Yeah this person could be anyone. Even an NPC I guess, if need be.

“Oh, you do not need to trouble yourself, but I suppose funnel cake would be hard to refuse,” Ringo nodded, confirming he understood her request. “Thank you, Ringo. I shall meet you back over by the swings.” Ringo once more nodded and the two began to head their separate ways. It didn't take long for the traveler to come across a stand that was selling some. He walked up to the stand and presented the coins necessary after confirming the price. "Hello, one funnel cake please?" Ringo figured that it would be difficult to carry two in the crowd and if there was two it'd be tough to divide it. He grabbed three forks and picked up the plate with the funnel cake on it and started to guide himself through the crowd of people. Ringo walked over to the swings and looked at the two sisters. He waved hello over to them with his free hand as he presented the funnel cake to them. Ringo looked over at the sister and then bowed politely. "I'm Ringo. It's nice to meet you." He might as well introduce himself to Cassandra's sister.

This day wasn't supposed to be like it had turned out, with Wynter trying to console her and Fayt running away with the princess. When Wynter's arms wrapped around her, the rose that was delicately placed in her hair fell to the ground. Did she care? What was the day for anyway? If it was truly to let her cares go to the wayside, then it was perplexing how many worries and insecurities seemed to be eating her alive. "I-I just wanna go home..." she mumbled miserably, voice muffled from her face being pressed into the fabric of Wynter's shirt. The atmosphere was becoming terribly suffocating-- possibly the most pleasant feeling of the day so far. Merely leaving the world of the awake to travel into her dreamworld... She shook her head, stepping back and away from Wynter once again. "I don't have the flower to give you. I can't remember, do I give you the one you gave me back..." As she spoke, Holly picked up the flower from the ground and put it in his hands. "But I want to do this next year. We'll be okay next time and Fayt will understand and it'll all be fine..." Her free hand swiped away another tear before it could trail too far down her cheek. Her eyes hardened with determination, forcing herself not to be scared. "And I won't let some stupid princess sway my thoughts."★ ~

Rhiannon had let her gaze wander to the party goers. Lots were dancing, a few were chatting. It seemed so lively and she hoped she wasn't missing out on anything. Her encounter from before had kind of put her off of this whole festival idea. She wasn't used to going without an escort to protect her from such things. Crimson eyes flicked to her sister when she saw she had come back. A light smile crossed her face, though before she could say anything, Cassandra had present her with a small box. Rhiannon opened hers carefully and gasped. "Oh, Cassandra. It's beautiful." She couldn't help but stare at it. Her right ring finger was currently occupied by the ring that their mother had given her, to match her sister's necklace. So instead, she placed the amethyst jeweled ring on her left ring finger. She had to giggle slightly. Now it looked like she was married, but that was fine. Maybe she wouldn't be pursued by rude men anymore. Rhiannon held her hand up to admire the ring some more, when she saw yet another figure approach. It was the boy whom Cassandra was with prior to her heroic deed. Rhiannon nodded her head in greeting. "It is nice to meet you, Ringo. My name is Rhiannon." Curiosity rose in her when she saw the funnel cake. Normally, she avoided sweets but on this special night, maybe she could make an exception. It did smell rather delicious. She smiled to him as she took her fork, but she waited until one of them had a bite first. ★ Cassie + Ringo ★ Aww festival is almost over

tagged: alfonse Charlie arched an eyebrow upon hearing that Alfonse also shared a lack of experience. Based on his words, it seemed that he only wanted to play the game within the company of others, which – while she wholeheartedly agreed with – made her curious of the human's history. Had he always lacked companionship? Did that fuel his desire to be a vagabond? Having no connections with others... was Charlie the first? The female adopted a sober expression before she was distracted by Alfonse's boasts of his skill. A grin spread across her face in anticipation to see validation in his claims. Natural talents? Enigma shrouded this man.
She clasped her hands behind her back and watched Alfonse take on a different tactic. Intense concentration and then a surprise attack, which too failed. "Yeah… unless it was just bad luck." Charlie said sympathetically, before pausing to ask, in reference to his previous assertion, "Or was that all talk?" She cast a mock-stern look at Alfonse as he chuckled.
Her gaze returned to the fish that had dashed away, its reflective scales stirring up faint memories of merfolk and her playful demeanour was touched by a shadow of determination. "Gimme another try." With her money purse ever so lighter, she began once more. After a short delay as Charlie waited, her net was plunged into the heart of the school where the most fish had collected together, and without much gentleness this time, she tossed a fish upwards and miraculously caught it within her bowl with a splash. Charlie's net had completely torn but her makeshift plan had worked. Amused, she stared at the startled fish as it frantically swum around in circles within the container.
Although the beastwoman noted that the store owner seemed surprised by her success, no comment was made. Her prize was placed within a water filled bag. She gripped the transparent bag as if it was a trophy and displayed it to Alfonse. "Ta-da! Now what should I name it?" She'd probably release it into the ocean. The freshwater fish.

Cassandra was pleased with Rhiannon’s reactions and smiled brightly at her twin. There was no true reason to give the gift, but she did not need one beyond wanting to please her sister. The two of them had both placed the rings on their left ring finger, which would be rather amusing to any irksome males. Hopefully it would prevent anyone like that man from before from so boldly handling Rhiannon. She could not always be there to look out for her older twin even if she wished to. Now was not the time for such morose thoughts, though. The festival was doing well and Cassandra was content to spend the rest of the evening watching from the swings. “I am happy you like it, Rhia. Now we both have matching pieces.” Her eyes flickered back up when she heard the approaching footsteps. Ringo had come back with a large plate of funnel cake. A pleasant, sweet treat to share between friends. Cassandra knew her sister did not enjoy sweets too often, but tonight was a special occasion. One must always eat funnel cake when a festival was taking place. “Thank you, Ringo. This is the best way to wind down on an eventful evening,” she said with a light laugh. She grabbed one of the forks and took the first bite of the sugary confection. The taste was flaky and sweet in her mouth as she sighed contentedly. Cassandra could simply enjoy sitting here on the swings with Ringo and Rhiannon and watch the rest of the night pass her by in peace. Perhaps later on she would dance, but she was happy where she was. ★ Ringo/Rhia. ★ Want to wrap it up here?
