As the beastwoman opened her mouth to respond to Adell, it seemed another at the festival had other ideas. Right as she was about to speak, she felt arms wrap around her and pull her away, but not before she managed to take the rose from the brunette in front of her, a pleased smile of her own forming as she tucked it behind a furred ear. A haughty huff fell from her lips as she was finally deposited, and amber eyes turned up toward Elwyn almost critically. The larger hand held hers as the dance line continued, and she was no stranger to the dances held at festivities. Almost expectantly, she beckoned Adell over with her free hand with her finger. Her hand was held outwards for him in invitation to join in and have some fun for himself. Let him enjoy the festival traditions for a while, the rest could come later. Farther away, Wynter stared at the flower in his hand. By tradition, a girl would give the guy a red rose as a promise of the future, but he didn't need that. Determinedly, he placed the flower in her hair from where it had fallen. "We don't need another rose. What's a flower compared to the promises we give each other? They'll last far longer." The day hadn't been what he had planned, but he could still save it for her. His hand reached for hers again, clasping it and leading her from the music of the festival... towards the secret path. "Let's go. We don't have to stay." ★ festival ★ I had to watch that scene in tangled for this

Finding himself suddenly bereft of his conversation partner, Adell blinked dumbly for a moment. There was that feeling of being out of his depth, thrown into a situation he was neither familiar with nor understood. Probably much the same way a commoner would feel if thrust into the heart of the court. The moment of surprise and confusion passed, and he saw the unspoken invitation. He had every right and every reason to refuse. Hell, he even had reason to start a fight or argument, based on the abductor's actions and Briar's acceptance of the rose alone. In the end, however, he shrugged. He had said that this could be a good opportunity to improve their public image in Ilusia, and refusing to join in, or, worse starting a confrontation, would do nothing to further that. Besides, even if it was somewhat... indirect, there was still the offer to dance with Briar. So there was that. With a sigh and a shrug, Adell extended his hand to accept the offer, still somewhat unsure of himself. Nothing ventured, nothing gained... There wasn't really much room for conversation, Adell struggling with just keeping up. He had learned how to dance, and he had a decent sense of balance, but he had certainly not been taught how to do this, and it showed. ★ Festival. ★ Elwyn gonn' get stabbed eventually. And short posts still feel bad.
